Ballamor Golf Club
About
The18-hole track at Ballamor Golf Club is renowned for its usage of the naturally hilly course in its layout. Brian Ault, the designer, utilized the natural terrain and thick forestry and also added subtle modern and traditional touches to create a unique golfing experience.
The golf course doesn't feature any "signature" hole, but each hole is different from the others and they employ the use of almost every type of golf shot. As a composition, the 18 holes create a course that is both challenging and fun. The course also has five sets of tee boxes. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is its "go out and stay out" philosophy and layout. The golfer starts near the Clubhouse but doesn't end until the 18th green. This allows for a faster game and there is also a halfway house for refreshments.

Looking at the 18th green Photo submitted by Jeffrey6275494 on 09/12/2013
Great course
Fast greens and bunkers everywhere. Some damp saturated fairways due to the storms. Great course overall!
Great Course
Great layout with wide fairways lined with bunkers requiring careful tee shots. A little less water than you would expect but the track is still plenty challenging. Tiered greens on most holes. Course was in very good condition for late August with only one or two tee boxes showing a lot of wear. Great round and we will be back.
Nice all around
I play here a couple times a year. Never disappointed. Big fairways and large quick greens. Conditions are always top notch.
Never a bad choice
You won’t be disappointed playing at Ballamor. Staff is friendly and speed of play is consistent. Course is spread out so I wouldn’t recommend walking unless you want to get a lot of steps in for a day. Have played this course many times this season and conditions have been better than most other courses. They do have beverage services- Cart and Half-way house.
Members Tournament Slows down pace
Do your best to avoid the days when they have members tournaments. Our tee time was supposed to be 3:20 didn't tee off until 3:40 and barely got finished the 18 before it was pitch black out side. Otherwise an amazing course that I highly recommend.
Nice Layout
First time playing this course. Unfortunately, TS Fay came through a couple days earlier and the course was a little soggy. Course has a great layout and the par 3's are challenging both in distance and slope. Beverage cart did stop early; however, kudos to Ballamor for the water jugs every few holes...made a huge difference. Would definitely play this course again and will recommend to my friends.
Ballamor
Our first time playing this course.
Definitely will return!
one of the best in public golf
Ballamor is in great shape right now. Fairways and greens are manicured beautifully and the staff is doing a great job making this a premier place. The greens are huge and undulating and the most difficult part of the course. Fairways are generous and traps are all over and huge. Everything was perfect on this day.
Ballamor Golf
Unique layout, great condition, friendly staff,
all levels are challenged
Will return!
Great condition and course
1st time playing here and will be back. Played with only one other person and got through the course right under 4 hrs. Had a few groups in front of us but still made good timing. The course was in great shape and very nice. Only met one employee and he was very friendly and welcoming.
What challenging greens!
Knew I was in for a challenging day when I read the tee box message that said "pin position 5". Many of these greens are very large and three tiers. Needless to say I had a few from 12 feet and in that just lipped out of the cup. Was paired with a member and two other people that have only played this course once previously and we had a blast. Lunch was good on the outdoor patio too beforehand. The halfway house was a good place to pick up beverages, cause you need to stay hydrated. A little pricey but the conditions are superb. The closing hole, 18, makes you want to go for it over a man-made lake with a wall in front of the green, Almost made it but bounced back in. I shot an 88 (I am usually in the mid 80's) from the blue tees, a good mix of short par 4's, really challendging par 3's with forced carries over fescue and i imagine the wind makes it even more difficult. I am from north jersey but this is on my list to play again and again when i come back to egg harbor / atlantic city.
Superb fairways - Impossible greens
The course is definitely one of the best in the area.
The problem with this course is the super fast greens.
These greens are unbelievably fast and difficult. Plan on making 40-50 putts your first time.
Two putts are rare even for the advanced single digit handicappers
Fantastic public course
Really nice shape. It’s a must play down the shore.
Amazing
This course is in the best condition. It's a 10+ in my eyes. Best course in the area for sure.
5 Star
This is by far the best course in the area. Great staff and fantastic course (layout and conditions). It was extremely windy yesterday which made this challenging course even more of a challenge. I'd highly recommend Ballamor.
Nice layout
Nice course.
Nice layout.
LARGE greens and at least half of them are three tiered.
If you aren’t paying attention to those pin positions, you’re bringing a three putt into the equation on every hole.
