Wide fairways but fluffy rough that swallows balls. Generally good condition, fast greens. Nice pro shop, good sales today.
Nice course and the Airport is really cool
I have played this course many times in the past and if it was closer, I would play much more frequently. I would also have to buy more balls as this course has a LOT OF WATER! Beautiful scenic course with some beautiful homes, some with aircraft hangers attached. All in all its a gem and I love playing there .
Driven buy hot deals this was a great one. Greens where in great shape and rolled very true. Lots of water especially on the back, but hit them straight and your will be OK.
Great course conditions, fairways and greens. Well maintained.
The course is changelling and is well maintained. I thought the rough was a little too high and I couldn't find some of my balls. Otherwise I highly recommend this course
One of my Central Florida favorites
Very nice fairway grass, top 10% in central Florida. Greens healthy but grainy and sometimes not cut very low. Nice folks in general at the course. One undadvertised fact from GolfNow is that the course will only allow six play days from non-members per year at Spruce Creek. You should keep that under consideration before you book, if you have played there several times.
Like this course
Spruce Creek is always in pretty good shape. The greens were still a little bumpy from being plugged a couple of weeks earlier.Pretty wet from all the rain but was real good to play.We will go back.
Excellent as always
My wife and I really enjoy playing this course. The layout is interesting, with each hole different. The front nine is fairly wooded - the back nine with plenty of water. Although the greens were aerated only a week ago they were already in very good shape. The fairways were pristine, the tees level and well grassed, and the rough well cared for. Even the bunkers were well groomed. If there was anything negative I would have to say that the cart paths could use some TLC.
The pace of play was super - we finished the round in a little over three hours even with other groups on the course. Pro Shop personnel were quite congenial and helpful. Maintenance people on the course were ultimately considerate of our play. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience.
Yep, we'll gladly play this course again.
Course in great shape and runway was an interesting wrinkle. Would recommend this as a must play if in the New Symna Beach area.
Great course wait till greens are sanded
Always liked this course but the greens were punched Roth the big holes so putting at all was a challenge. Over all this is a great course just make sure the greens are not freshly punched.
Great course well conditioned with. LOT OF WATER
Played quite a bit there last year and it’s still in great shape.
Apparently membership is in control and prices have gone beyond my reach. Thanks to golf now we were able to play this great course again at a reasonable price
Fun place to play
Do yourself a favor and go play Spuce Creek. It’s a fly-in community and you’ll probably have private planes fly right over your head. They take off and land right off 8 and 9 .
Good layout. Had some green issues BUT they roll true and are quick. You can see they are putting money in the course
Nice course, has enough sand and water to keep you aware of shot shape. A few greens were a little thin and could use some water. They were plenty fast. But overall a nice course wouldn't hesitate to play again.
Course seems to be declining since the last time I played here which is odd considering it is located within an upscale gated community. Pretty obvious the residents of Spruce Creek Fly-In are not supporting their golf course. Pace of play was good because there weren't many golfers on the course. No one handling bags or carts, no starter, no ranger and no beverage cart. Guy in the pro shop was friendly and paired me up with another single then told us to go whenever we wanted. No one waiting. Tees were good from the blues, most of the play here is from the forward tees due to the older clientele. Fairways were average, a little soft on the back nine. The problem here is the greens. Lots of bare spots and infiltration of weeds. Forget about getting a true roll. Bunkers were good with plenty of sand and consistent throughout the course. Overall layout is unremarkable and a little boring. Overall this is a fairly easy course and made for a fun and stress free round. If they can fix the greens I would go back.
