Garnant
Played here today, course was in fantastic condition ,greens were consistent in pace. Buggy hire recommend as it could be a long walk .stunning views . Staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome. Overall highly recommend you book a tee time
Sunny afternoon
Garnant is a hidden gem in the Amman Valley, long and tricky with many natural obsticals,a mix of long and short par 4's flowing from top to bottom of a hillside.
Only flaw on our visit was freshly sanded greens, but they have to be done at some time.4/5.
First round this year
A total delight, from the pro shop staff ,to the catering people, and members, everyo e was very friendly and welcoming.
The course is a really good test, with tricky greens, hokes are well laid out and easy to folliw, and amazing views.
Woud recommend this course to anyone, will definitely play this course again,a real gem
Amazing greens
Haven’t played the course in years but glad to see it in such great condition. Only improvement would be signs at the tees on holes with bells, although they might have had them and I missed them .
Beautiful layout and views
Played this course a few times now. Well laid out and always well maintained. Greens always in excellent condition. A bit of a hidden gem.
Outstanding value for money!
Booked the day before playing and got a noon tee time for £20 and it was an absolute steal! Beautiful course with stunning views over the Brecon Beacons. Not a long course for decent hitters but accuracy and planning needed to avoid some tough uphill/downhill lies as the course is very hilly and undulating. Most of the greens are quite undulating too and were in immaculate condition. Barely saw a divot mark on any of them so they are well looked after by the members and greenkeepers. Quite physical in places if walking or with a trolley due to its location but the course was fairly quiet so could stroll around at leisure. I'm a 24 handicapper and went round 26 over so it was just about perfect for my ability but I think any golfer of any ability would enjoy the course for the stunning views alone. Had a quick pint in the clubhouse after and there seemed to be a good range of food and drink and the staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Hidden gem
Not one to normally write a review but this place deserved it from the moment I arrived was made to feel really welcome went out to explore this course it’s in amazing condition with lightening quick greens with some beautiful views once finished my round come back in and had some beautiful food place is definitely well worth a visit will definitely be back
Winter golf at its best
Haven’t played this courses for 2 years , thought the greens and tee offs were second to none in the area. In the past the fairways weren’t to good but a huge improvement!Great course
Challenging with good views
Overall the course was in excellent condition, but prolonged dry weather early in summer led to fast greens and a lot of run. Undulating landscape with challenging features made for an interesting game. Some of the ladies tees needed mowing.
Very enjoyable and real value for money
Played here early morning after a downpour was not sure who the course was going to be but was pleasantly suprised on how dry the course was.
Course was well kept with the tees in good ahape and the fairways freshly nown. greens were a true consistent speed and in great shape.
