Colts Neck Golf Club
About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

Nice course
This course is nice to play. It is a little short only playing 6300 yards. I was surprised the greens were not in great shape. Being June they still all had their aerate holes on all greens. Kind of annoying putting on them. Usually that’s clear by May. Other than that the tee boxes and fairways were in good shape.
Alex
Course was in very poor shape and not worth the high price per
no notice of aerated greens
if you are paying $125 person to play then the course should let you know BEFORE you pay that the green have been aerated.
Wouldn’t play again
Booked this course for 4 people at $320 they charged me $480 when I got there and said they had a price increase the day before. Wouldn’t serve drinks to non members, some of the staff was rude
Always liked to play this course but…
The greens were recently airated and un-puttable. I know courses have to do this but $85 at 2 pm without notification beforehand is unacceptable. I would have gone elsewhere for a lot cheaper. I usually ask before I book but it is very late in the season and thought all the courses are done with airation.
Play here
Enjoy a well maintained course with a challenging layout and manicured to the T! Staff was amazing as always! Treat yourself
Highly Recommended
A Little short for the extremely low handicappers, but for the rest a SWEET PUBLIC COURSE
Highly Recommended
Solid public Course. Great layout. pleasing to the eye..
Aerated greens
Charging $100 for a late afternoon round when not a single putt was real was deplorable. At least notify the GN users that the course is being aerated. Balls were changing direction at 90 degree turns haha. Insane.
Oh, stop with the BS about the liquor license of town no allowing non-members to buy a beer. MAKES NO SENSE.
Greens
Putting greens were aerated & overfilled with sand so putting was just not a realistic thing to do on the course. Course layout was confusing when trying to find your next hole, long walks to next tee box often.
Great Course, Needs a halfway house
Course was in very good shape & greens were quick.
They verticut the fairways recently making them uneven & soft in spots so compressing the ball was inconsistent but no complaints, the maintenance needs to be done.
Suggestion: LEAVE RAKES IN THE BUNKERS & maybe somebody would use them. It’s hard hitting out of a deep foot print.
Overall, good day. Starter was a nice guy & the cart person was equally polite & helpful.
If you play late, be ready to wait. There were two 5somes ahead of me.
