Delray Beach Golf Club
About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Will only Play at a Discount Rate
The course had a very nice layout and the staff was great and very well run. Fairways in pretty good shape. But the greens are awful, with very poor maintenance. No grass on some areas of the greens or rough patches that affect the roll of the ball. Will only play with a deal price.
Playing thru the raindrops
I have played there before and the course in reasonable comdition. The tee boxes were ok as were the fairways. The greens could use some TLC. The group in front of us were playing the blue tees and should have on the green or the white. They needed some education in course etiquette. We eventually passed them. Overall it was a good day with my Canadian partners who were very nice. The title refers to two intermittent but heavy downpours.
Greens need some attention.
Doesn’t seem to have enough people helping people with their clubs.
No help, no club cleaning, no tip.
greens were in terrible conditions were ok 1 month ago, it s the reason i am cancelling my next the times
Don’t waste your time
Should close this course down. Terrible condition. Terrible greens. Everything was terrible. Lucky that the carts ran.
nice course but unpredictable
We played this course in Feb 2024 and it was great. We played it again on Mar 6th and the greens were very, very slow. They were very fuzzy and we always came up short. I don't know if it was a fluke or not as it was not like this in February. Not sure if I would take the chance again but I really liked the course. Hopefully they rectify the greens as we would like to return.
Greens could be better
On the whole, the course is well worth the money. However, the greens could be maintained better. They have many dead patches and are not smooth
shaggy greens
Drive for show, putt for dough. But the slooow greens here make that next to impossible. I've played this course dozens of times in the last 15 years and the greens have never been this slow. I play at least 3 times a week at various local courses and none of them have slow greens. If there's an explanation for why the Superintendent refuses to cut them the local golf community would like to know. Overall the courses has continued to deteriorate in the last 2-3 years largely because the City of Delray refuses to either spend the money needed or hire competent management. Best thing I can say is it's cheap to play there.
Everything in Delray is great Except for the golf club
The course is an embarrassment. Never saw greens in such poor conditions . These reviews mean nothing because next season the place will still be an embarrassment. U want to talk about it .? 2034510932
