Delray Beach Golf Club
About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Course needs work
The staff at Delray Is excellent- very nice and friendly. The course needs a lot of TLC though - the greens and tee boxes are being worked on but progress appears to be very slow. Because of the conditions most likely, the course was not crowded and we played our round in under three hours. I hope they can get the course in better shape soon.
Greens in rough condition
Not sure if summer time or if diseased but the greens need some love. Grass was either non existent or how the fairway should be. Lots of weeds and craters as well. Hopefully the course gets some love since it’s a convenient and cheap place to play.
Okay course
Nice course for women, wide open, not so.much water, but the greens were in terrible condition , patched up and slow.. For summer prices, okay, but in the season maybe better courses out there.
The greens are in terrible shape! It's been that way for sometime. It's a disgrace to golf.
Pace was very good
Course was in better condition than I thought it would be since there has been no rain for the last few weeks. Greens were pretty rough. Kitchen was closed but bar was open and the bartender was nice. Overall ok, the price was right.
Bad greens
I have played the Delray Beach course many times and this is the worse I have seen the greens. The fairways are good and the tee area too. Usually the greens are good. I don't know what has happened. Hopeful it gets back the quality it usually is.
I play here often... but
but I wish the greens were in better shape. some have green grass, most don't. bumpy. why do I play here often? Nice course design by Donald Ross, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Plus, I find the other courses in the area have similar green problems.
A Donald Ross Disaster
This course has tons of potential. However, I’ve never played a course with WORSE greens. It was totally embarrassing how horrible these greens were. How they can let a course get this bad is beyond me. I was hitting a few balls on the range at 6:45am and it was off mats. There were no tees on the mats so I moved up to the grass where I could put a tee into the ground to hit a few drivers. And then the ranger came over and said “mats only please!” Are you kidding me. Like I was going to do any damage to the grass. I’m a 2-handicap and he’s worried about the grass on the worst range I’ve ever seen! What a joke. Pace of play was also horrendous. Overall experience on this course is ZERO! I can’t believe the attitude these people have - truly shocking. My word of advice - Find another course!!!!
Please repair the greens!
The greens are a disaster. Just shut 9 holes at a time in the summer and resod please!
Poor condition
The greens are in terrible condition , half of them with no grass.
Time to invest
It’s time to invest in this course great location great layout great course staff but the course itself has been kept up terribly for years now all the other local courses are in great shape but not Delray spend some of these high tax $ on this place or let it go !
Delray = Why Play?
The greens appear to be under repair. One of the greens was 70% sand. They felt like an obstacle course for four wheelers
