Delray Beach Golf Club
About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Needs a little more work
Could be a premier course because 9 holes are designed by Donald Ross. It is minutes from downtown and there is a convenient exit off of I95 and the Florida Turnpike to this location. It needs proper maintenance of the greens and fair ways. There is a drainage problem on 2 holes after a heavy rain. Unfortunately the land that the course is on is very valuable for development and the maintenance of the course is a political time bomb
Not bad and trying to get better
Staff were friendly and helpful. As a single - starter was able to pair me up and get me out early. Course is in decent shape and you could tell they were making improvements. The greens were above avg compared to several municipals I’ve played recently. Layout is flat, with several doglegs. Very little water or forced carries - which is refreshing. Almost every green protected by bunkers. Fairways and tee boxes need some work. Pro shop stocked. Full length driving range. Carts need upgrade and no GPS. With a good rate from GolfNow - good times.
Needs a lot of care
The fairways and the sand traps aren’t bad.But the greens need a lot of work. The greens were very slow and a lot of bare patches.
I saw a worker trimming bushes before we got to the tenth tee.He should be fixing the tee boxes and the greens not pruning bushes.
GReen very. Long
Les verts avaient un cm de long impossible de putter
Putting nightmare
The greens and aprons are a disaster. City of Delray has to put some $$$ into the course.
