Very short, mislabeled distances. Executive course in disguise
I'm going to be as fair as possible about Marina since the staff is nice and not deserving of being trashed. This course is good if you are looking for short iron practice (under 140 yards) because every hole is essentially a par 3, with the listed par 5s actually distancing out to a very short par 4. (You can basically divide every hole distance in half to get the actual distance.) Conditions are rough. I basically paid the equivalent of a large bucket of range balls for this course and for the first time wish I actually did go to the range instead of playing because it would've been better practice. You gotta know what you're getting into before you play here and if you do it can be a nice afternoon of 7-9 iron practice.
short but a challege
the pars are not what they should be as carded, it is a short course and there really are no par 5's although the card has them listed, the main problem is the greens are not in great shape and the fairways have a lot of "tite" lies... but overall it was an enjoyable round..
Nice short course. Horrible greens
It's a nice little course. Good for the beginners because it is shorter making it much easier to rack up some green in regulations. But it all falls apart when it's time to putt. Sand spots on some. Blotches of thick moss like grass on others. Overall it was fun, but on the greens just close your eyes and putt... You have a better chance of sinking it.
Sunday afternoon
Relax and enjoy the new course. I play 81! This is an easy course to play. The green need a good face lifting !It's fun to see these boats along the fairway. Good luck if you are planning to play the black tee!
Several Greens need repair
So this was the first time I when to this course, and was very disappoint to find the first hole green was choppy, and rough. Multiple fairways had 1 - 3 feet rolls, sometime the ball would hit the ground creating a crater around the ball.
Nice and quick
Not to hard , not to easy but for the money you can't do any better. If you have three hours and you have to play this is the place to go. Short course so I was able to leave the driver in the bag but enough hazards to make it fun.
OLD COURSE
OLD COURSE THAT NEEDS HELP BUT FOR THE MONEY YOU GET GOOD VALUE
QUITE SCENIC WITH A LOT OF WATER IN PLAY
Great value
Played this course a few times on vacation. Not in the best shape overall but for the money you cant beat it. Nice layout. Fun little course to play
painfully slow and NO ranger
The group ahead of us was painfully slow. It looked like they were holding conferences about each shot. Then they'd stand over the ball for five minutes before taking a swing. I understand learning - I'm still learning. But people need to be a little more aware of their surroundings when they're playing. If there had been a ranger there would have been no issue. We tee'd off around 1pm and the ranger was already gone.
The greens ran like concrete
No drink cart
No rangers
No water on back 9
Bring water and something to read.
This course lacks maintenance and watering
Greens bad on first nine. A bit better on back nine.
A lot of weeds on greens
Nice
If u live n delay area u are crazy not to play the twilight rate ! the regular rate isnt a bad deal either. i really enjoy it and will play there again today
Water and bunkers
Beautiful course modérate quality
Bring à lot of balls
cheap golf course
if you play that golf course with aGPS it will be easier. The distances are not goods.Good course for practice at good price.
great value
Was not in great condition but it was still a good time course way overbooked. I find this the case for most courses in the area.
Enjoyable place!
The place is nice and the staff friendly. The course was in good shape and the greens not too hard to play.
"Great deal for the money"
Nice course not Doral but not Doral prices.
Greens were nice ,Fairways were cut, Bunkers raked.
The guy Joseph in the pro shop treated us like kings and gave us free ball and tees and a shot of Crown.
The only complaint i have was the warm water fountain and
no score card on golf cart . pleasant surprise
The staff was not friendly.
Marina Lakes is a decent course but the guys in the pro shop were not happy we went through Golfnow. The first time the guy ripped my confirmation paper in half and the second time a different man was kind of rude. I will never pay at the course again, I will always pay through Golfnow.
Wouldn't Play it Again Even if it was Free
SKIP this nightmare!
Bad manners - BAD Design - WORSE Maintenance or I should say NO maintenance - Horrible Experience all around.
The nightmare began when they wanted to charge us $2/person to use a credit card to pay.
Next is was off to a Tee box with 4" tall weeds. The Fairway was much better Only 2" tall weeds.
Then the greens which should be called fairways as they were 1/2" to 1" tall needing a mowing so badly it was terrible.
The sand traps which are more dirt and rocks than sand with grass patches 2' around growing in them.
The bugs were brutal as the course weaves around swampy lakes.
The "New" black tees are tucked into the trees and are so overgrown in places you cannot even swing your club.
We QUIT after 9 holes to keep from punishing ourselves any further. No apologies from starter and no refund. SKIP this mess at all costs.
Course needs watering
The course needs work. Apparently, it does not have a good system for watering the fairway, greens, etc.
