The Architects Golf Club
About
The Architects Golf Club is a unique layout that honors legendary course designers including Donald Ross, A.W. Tillinghast, and Alistair Mackenzie. Each hole is named after a famous designer, beginning with Old Tom Morris. The opening par 5 pays homage to St. Andrews' designer through the use of the existing features as hazards such as the rock wall and the sloping hillside that the green is deftly carved into. One of the most memorable holes is the 13th, another par 5 that will give you a taste of what it's like to play Augusta. This Alistair Mackenzie-inspired hole offers many risks and rewards. Golfers will face fairways bunkers and a pond on the left and then a creek that runs diagonally in front of the triple-tiered green. Position is the key to maneuvering this tough hole.

Great course great layout friendly staff great burgers at the turn I love the course and drive an hour and 15 minutes to get there but it is well worth the trip!
Awesome course
Highly recommend the course in great shape. The only issues are the traps need major work and more drinking water on the course. A must play, great layout and very challenging
Awesome Golf Course
I'm playing here as part of a group at the end of September so I decided to go out on my own to check it out first. The design concept is really cool, with each hole designed after some famous designer's concept. The fairways were really good (lush) as well as the greens (not too fast or slow). Not too hilly so you can walk this course if you're so inclined (I'm not). The only surprise was the condition of a lot of the bunkers; fairway and green side. They were flooded with water and with a lot of rocks (baseball sized ones). It hadn't rained for a few days so this was really odd. I would expect a place like this to not have these types of blemishes. I didn't land in any of these types of bunkers, but some were so bad that if I would have landed in one, I might not have been able to retrieve my ball. That's how much water was in some of them. Except for this problem, the course was amazing with a friendly staff and great amenities (cart girl came around a lot). One other thing was the carts they provide. For the greens fee you pay, I would expect a better cart, GPS and other bells and whistles. Like at Bowling Green for example. Those have Bluetooth and a few other cool features. I don't really care about that stuff, but if you do, the carts at Architects will disappoint you.
Must Play
Great course to play...the course was in excellent condition...some interesting features at each hole.
Nice course
Loved the layout, very well taken care of. The only down side were the bunkers, they need a lot of work. I would recommend playing here, just stay out of the bunkers.
Good experience
Great layout , long par fours on the back nine. Fairways and Greens well maintained.
Very different
Played at 3pm for 59$ so let’s get that out front. Great conditions. Very friendly staff. Holes that you don’t typically see at other courses. That is to say they are memorable. Pretty views and good pace of play. Would play again here in a heartbeat especially for 59$!
Excellent value
Terrific layout and fun holes. Greens ‘had been top dressed and were slower than normal, but rolled well. Enjoyed meeting three other GN players.
super course
Architects is a big bold course that will make you use all your clubs. We played on a day after the big rains so it was cart path only. There was absolutely no roll in the fairways so it made the course play very long. The fairways are incredibly wide and the greens are large. There are not huge breaks on the greens and most putts break slightly. The views are majestic and lovely. The bunkering is excellent. The pub which recently new is good and there is a cart girl and a snack and drink place at the 9th green outside. This is one of the best public courses in the region and I'd love to come back when its firm and dry. We had a great day here and I highly recommend the course
Rained out Overall rating was based on the course staff would not compensate for the extremely poor rain soaked playing conditions
Played 3 holes heavy rain stopped our play.
Staff was adementnt that course would.not close. We were soaked to the.bone so we left without finishing the 3rd hole.
Very disappointed.
This course is always very well kept. Bunkers are nice fairways are beautiful. The back nine is my favorite.
A great weekday round
Played on a Monday. Course was in great shape, greens included. Pace was not bad, waited on a couple holes but overall our round took 4:20. Can't complain about that. The only frustrating issue for the day was the fact there was no cart girl. There was a guy that drove around a few times on the front asking if we wanted water or food at the turn but after the turn we didn't see him much. No food being cooked at the turn, though the guy said he would make our food fresh if we wanted. Just a minor inconvenience. Still seem to be renovating/moving the food area or pieces of the club house. Seems like it's in transition. Beyond that it was exactly what I had hoped.
Great layout and great condition
Played a very relaxing round today in 2 1/2 hours as a single. They had me go off on 10 and I never waited to tee off. Course was in spectacular condition and each hole is special. Love this course.
GREAT LAYOUT
FAIRWAYS AND GREENS EXCELLENT. BEST PUBLIC COURSE YOU CAN FIND. I DROVE ONE HOUR FORTY MINUTES TO PLAY THERE WAS WORTH IT.
SLow Play AGAIN
Have been playing here for a number of years now. The pace of play is terrible. No Rangers to move players looking for long periods of times looking for their bad shots.
Green WAY too slow for this time of year. The bright star in playing here is Regina's friendly personality and the Cheeseburgers at the turn are always good.
Try to get out here once a month but candidly will not be coming back for quite sometime. Until the pace of the play gets better and the greens get consistent and quicker.
Can I ask the day and time you went out? Usually wanting to work on my fundamental game playing single is nice
