This was our first time at this course and we were impressed with the layout. We played the 6300 tees (whites) and found them a challenge. What was really appreciated however was the warm and professional welcome we had from the check in lady. She made sure we had all the necessary information before we went out. Many thanks we will be back.
One of my FAV's
As usual, Deltona was in great shape. Only issue was that because of weather, bunkers were a little 'saturated'. But if you stay out of them (which there are many) no need to worry!
The Deltona Sand Box
This course had great elevation changes, something I haven’t seen since I moved here a year ago. The ball sets up nice on the fairway and the greens while somewhat slow are smooth and roll true. A LOT of casual sand, the most I’ve ever seen. I found myself in trouble a couple of times because as casual sand it is not raked and a few footprints were 6-7 inches deep. Overall a very pleasant experience at a very good course. You don’t need water on every hole to present a challenging course A+
a little slow
some people still have the need to be told to play it forward and use the right tees for your game.It will make your round and everyones day behind you better.Frustrating when temps in 90s and group in front playing from tees that are too far back for their game. If you need a driver off the tee on a par 3 you need to move up to next tee box
Slowest greens in central florida
If you like playing courses with the slowest greens in the county, this is your courses. If you like playing courses with bunkers that are hard and have minimal sand, this is your course. If you like playing courses that hold groups from teeing off because members are late by 10 minutes for their tee times, then this is the course for you. Obviously they do not own a mower to cut their greens and they do not believe in maintenance for their bunkers. Too many nicer courses in volusia county to bother with this one.
