Excellent course!

Excellent course, quite challenging yet very playable. Well kept and well designed. Certainly recommend this course, and the early morning tee-time price of 20euro is terrific value!

Perfectly maintained

A great looking course maintained superbly.
Fairly low level of difficulty with pretty straightforward holes., however there are a couple of nice holes with water for the par3's.
An enjoyable course for a relaxing round.

All round top course .

Really enjoyed the challenge of the course . The course is very well designed and has some great features to it including fantastic bunkers that seem to be always in your way . Also the water on the course is never to far away and plays its part on the higher handicapped holes . Long par 3's and 4's also add to this course while trying to avoid well positioned bunkers , trees and water too . Some stunning views of the Dublin Mountains and the Liffey Valley add to the wealth which this course holds and being open to the elements on elevated tees adds mother natures challenges to the course . I found the greens to be in great condition and some difficult lines I found on them , the features around the greens mean that some approach play to the green needs the correct club choice or you can end up in all sorts of trouble. The greens are well kept and are quite quick and that after the washout summer we had.

castleknock gc

Played on the 21/03/2013 the course was in very good condition considering the weather we have had. The course was playing very long due to high winds. Greens had been heavily sanded but they still rolled true and did not effect the putts in any noticeable way. Over all a very enjoyable game especially since it remained dry for the whole round.
