A hidden gem
Great course , lovely setting , well maintained , nice greens and great water features also great variety
A real challenge
Driver is not always the answer off the tee as I found out as there are alot of dogleg holes filed with danger ,so best to take 3 iron and put the ball in play. i really enjoyed the challenge and look forward to playing this gem again really soon
Friday afternoon on the golf course
Having played at Beaverstown a good few times, I was really excited to be back.
Wind blowing towards the water, no rain. We had to play from the yellow tees, no white ones were set out. The faiways were in good shape, while the rough was gobbling up golf balls. The greens were true but sanded and the water hazards were mostly empty.
Great course, I'll be back. I hope they winter well.
Beaverstown
Beaverstown golf course as always was in superb condition, the only draw back today was a bit of a detour to the first of 12 holes as the first 6 holes are closed due to pole forking, other than that it's always a very pleasurable enjoyable game of golf with some great scenery.
Disappointed
I booked to play Beaverstown golf course on Friday the 28th August as part of a 3 ball. The weather was very inclement (torrential rain) and while on my way to the course, I received a call from an official at the course to say that the course was closed. I did not have the means to login to my Golfnow account prior to tee off time to cancel the booking. I was therefore charged the full €42 for a round I never got to play which is very disappointing. I will probably look to other sites in future that offer more green fee flexibility to avoid having to pay for rounds that I don't get to play.
