Completed 2 holes in 45minutes
Staff clueless (not helpful). Must put 3minutes between groups. Horrible setup to get clubs from club drop to first hole, long inside corridor and 2 flights of stairs. No one to help with clubs
Excellent but Slow
Course is excellent, staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful and it's in a beautiful spot with views of the mountains everywhere on the course. The only downside was a painfully slow 9 holes - 2 hours and 40 mins. It was clear that there were people on the course with no idea how to play ready golf, or pick up and move on. I have no problem with learner golfers playing in front of me as long as they don't take 5 shots to get out of a bunker or 3 shots to get 75 yards off the tee. We had 3 teenagers in front of us all in one cart and literally moving from one ball to the other one at a time rather than each player getting ready for their shot while the others were playing. No marshals in sight. This seems to be a consistent theme in the reviews of this course and by now you'd think they'd have employed a solution. That said, we'd go back and play again and mentally be ready for a 5+ hour round.
When it’s raining in the LA Orange County IE areas. It’s blue skies in the desert. Awesome conditions Course is in amazing shape. Well worth the git e up.
Great Shape, Great Amenities
We played in 4 hours and 10 minutes. The course was in great shape. I think the Palm course is a little more interesting and has fewer holes along the road, but we had a great time and it was a good value at under $100 for cart & golf.
Nice pace of play. Course in good shape. The traps, however, need sand. Just hard packed now. That’s the only thing holding back a 5 star rating.
Good Resort-style Course
There aren't many resort style courses where you can play a round on a well manicured, interesting layout course with lots of sand and water in four hours. The Valley Course at the JW Marriott Resort was all of these things. Really enjoyed the round.
Overall great course itself. But pace of play was awful. There were no marshals on the course to help with this. A group in front of mine was so slow that I didn’t even get to finish my round. This course is overpriced. It’s fine to pay a lot of money to play, so long as you can actually play. Having to skip the last two holes because of other people’s slow play is unacceptable. For what this course costs, there definitely should be officials helping to keep people moving.
Good but weather not cooorrating
Would have been a great day. Unfortunately the wind made it very difficult.
Marrriott golf experience
I have played this course a number of times when I am in Palm Springs. I keep coming back because I enjoy the course. I golfed with some friends who also enjoyed the course. I will be back again.
Great experience from start to finish. Excellent course condition. 4 hour round. Great facility and staff. Practice range top notch
Fantastic fairways and Incredible Greens. Worth every penny. I wished I could’ve stayed for longer and played them both multiple times. Foursome finished in four hrs flat
I’ve played this course many times and it always impresses me. Fairways and greens in great shape. The only downside was the poor bunkers. The staff is always friendly. It’s a nice challenging course.
Was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. The course was in perfect condition. The groundskeepers are fantastic!
This course has it all...sloping fairways, water, sand, etc. and it is a beautiful course. This is the course that someone who is just riding along will enjoy because it is so beautiful. Whether you are a pro looking for a tough course or a beginner looking to enjoy a day golfing, this course will not disappoint.
And there is a Starbucks on site...among other amenities! It must be one of the best in town.
