yardage issues
Marriott is a top notch organization, so I can't understand why this is an issue....GOLFNOW yardages for this facility are acccurate; the Marriott scorecard is way off....for example, GN shows white tee valley at 6023, scorecard shows 5262....this is a major issue when the player tries to decide which tees to play AND it's a known issue
Great looking course with plenty of challenges. The fairways were awful and the greens not good either.
Too many good well maintained courses in the area so this would not be on my list of places to play.
JW Marriott Valley Course
Great course - fairway and greens were in excellent shape! Challenging but open
pace of play
We were not able to finish our round due to darkness.
They either overbooked or they did not Marshall it properly.
5 plus hours is not acceptable.
Nice track for average players
Not overly punishing, pace of play was good enough.. beverage service was frequent, price a little high for a course that had worn fairways and greens but that’s sort of what you get for winter golf in the south.
No Marshalls
We did not see one Marshall all day long to keep things moving. On the front 9 our threesome waited for the two in front of us on nearly every hole with nobody visible ahead of them, and they never waved us up. We got to the turn and wonder if two groups snuck in (maybe after already playing 18 on the other course?) because the pair we were following were now suddenly waiting for two foursomes on the tenth fairway and green. The entire back nine was painfully slow. Had to play the last hole and a half in the dark.
Greens not what they used to be
Thought the greens were very sparse, someone said they switched to different grass, compared to other years. For the price I thought it would be better
Greens need work
Had a very enjoyable round and overall enjoyed the round and experience. Was disappointed with greens however, most were not in the condition I would expect for this course.
Conditions
Hello
Greens are not in the best of shape
Fairways are thin for this time of year
I’m thinking they did not want to spend $$ for overseeding
In poor condition
I have played four courses i the immediate area. This course was not only the most expensive of those four but also in the worst condition. The fairways are sketchy, as if they did to oversee. You don't roll your putts; the ball bounces across the greens.
Hgh price; low condition. It's a bad combination.
Horrible greens
This course has a great layout and staff.. unfortunately the greens are subpar for the price they are charging..
