About
Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is routed from the beach to the bay, providing stunning views along the way. The course rolls across the few elevation changes that the area has to offer. Although it opened in 1984, the golf course didn't reach its peak until it underwent extensive renovation in 2005, which were carried out by the original designer, Tom Jackson. The layout features rolling fairways lined with mature pines that are generous and times but can be tight when you least expect it. The large, undulating greens can also play faster than what you might be expecting. Water, which comes into play on 12 holes, is a prominent feature of Baytowne Golf Club as are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Did not play. I arrived 1 1/2 hours early to hit balls but the range was closed. I had played in about 3 weeks so I chose not to play.
Don't play after it rains
No driving range use allowed. Cart path only. We were never informed of the unfair changes to our course experience.
Disappointed
Great shape
For early January the course was in excellent shape. The fairways were groomed and the greens perfect. Thanks for a great experience
Ok. Purse for the money
This was an ok layout but not nearly as good as the other 3 courses on premise.
Greens held shot ok but prob the slowest greens I’ve ever played.
You just can’t get the ball to the hole.

I’ve played this course several times recently .i enjoy the course overall but the greens are in need of being cut. The putting is so slow it makes the greens hard to read and its difficult to putt to the hole.
Nice course, terrible greens
Decent resort course. Nice layout with some fun holes, but greens were brutal. Cut longer than most fairways. Like putting on shag. Have played the other 2 courses in this resort and way better. Keep it consistent. Other courses in the area a better option.
Overpriced
Do not pay more than $50 to play this course…night and day difference from Raven, which is great!! Staff was great, course was in rough shape and below average…
Fun morning after frost delay
Have played here about five or six times. Course is in good shape. There was a one hour and 45 minute frost delay, but the proshop did not bother to email everyone about it like other clubs do.
Great experience
Really nice course, especially for the money. I brought my son and junior's get to play for free. The course actually had junior tees which were perfect for my 7 yr old.
About average
The guys in the pro shop were really nice. The course is short with a lot of bunkers, it was pretty wet around the greens. Green speed is slow but seemed to roll fine. Pace was a bit slow, these course don’t seem crowded but all the tee times were taken. Hard to explain. Worth playing if you are staying in Sandestin. Driving range was a bit rough and balls were dirty.
