Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Ridge Course
About
Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood offers 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nine-hole courses: the Pines, Links, and Ridge. They are played in three different 18-hole combinations that may share the same pinelands feel throughout but each course offers a unique set of challenges. The scenic Ridge nine is covered with rolling bluffs and towering, mature pines. The undulating landscape is rare for most New Jersey golf courses that sit along the shore. The elevation changes provide tricky uphill and downhill lies. With such variety amongst the three courses and practice facilities including a driving range, and putting and chipping greens, Eagle Ridge Golf Club has earned the reputation of being one of the best courses in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

Cart path only
If they're wondering why the place is empty and can't fill the tee times on a beautiful Friday in the winter it's because they want $80 and it's cart path only. The fairways were bone dry too. Ridiculous
Good Course Layout. Entitled Members
Played this course for first time on Sunday 8/27 had an afternoon tee time which I showed up an hour early for. We hit balls on the range, the grass area was under construction and rubber tees were scarce, but it was fine for a quick warm up. About 20 minutes before our tee time we asked where the practice green was to no luck. We were told we were on the tee and were going to tee off about 10 minutes prior to tee time, which is great, but unable to test out greens. First three to four holes were great, but on the fifth tee we caught the group in front of us. Which lead to the longest round in my golfing career. They eventually let us play through with about 4 holes left on back nine at that point we were so sick of waiting 5 minutes every shot and 10 on some tee boxes that we just left. I would go back, but inly during the week and early in the morning. Side note if it takes you 5 shots to get to every hole you shouldnt also spend 10 minutes putting, you are not Tiger.
Go!
Pleasantly surprised by the layout and the conditions. I recommend it to people looking for a nice place to play. Very friendly staff.
Rangers Need To Chill!
This would have been and amazing day ! But the ranger decided to be too much of a pain ( not to be explicit ) . The guy came up to us two times for no reason, group behind us were two holes behind, but he still came up to us and had someone to say. Otherwise the course is very nice. But when you pay $100+ for a tee time you deserve to enjoy every minute of it.
Unique Layout
Course has 27 holes to play (three 9 hole tracks). Booked a Hot Deal and played the Pines and Links courses. The course names were true to the layout and feel of the courses. Literally felt like I got to play two completely different courses in one 18 hole round! Conditions are perfect throughout the course. Par 5s were designed very well and really present some great risk/reward decisions to make while playing. Will be going back to try to play all 27 another day!
First Time Playing Here, I'll be back (If the place isn't developed into homes?)
Excellent course-Excellent condition, played holes 10-27. Loved the links layout especially. No food service on Mondays was a bummer. Pace of play was somewhat slow for a Monday, but the weather was beautiful, so.. Played with a former member who told me the the place sold to some investment group, and there is talk of developing the course into homes. That would stink, as I plan on coming back at least a couple times a year from here on. Would be a loss of a gem of a course.
