Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Ridge Course
About
Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood offers 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nine-hole courses: the Pines, Links, and Ridge. They are played in three different 18-hole combinations that may share the same pinelands feel throughout but each course offers a unique set of challenges. The scenic Ridge nine is covered with rolling bluffs and towering, mature pines. The undulating landscape is rare for most New Jersey golf courses that sit along the shore. The elevation changes provide tricky uphill and downhill lies. With such variety amongst the three courses and practice facilities including a driving range, and putting and chipping greens, Eagle Ridge Golf Club has earned the reputation of being one of the best courses in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

Rangers Need To Chill!
This would have been and amazing day ! But the ranger decided to be too much of a pain ( not to be explicit ) . The guy came up to us two times for no reason, group behind us were two holes behind, but he still came up to us and had someone to say. Otherwise the course is very nice. But when you pay $100+ for a tee time you deserve to enjoy every minute of it.
Unique Layout
Course has 27 holes to play (three 9 hole tracks). Booked a Hot Deal and played the Pines and Links courses. The course names were true to the layout and feel of the courses. Literally felt like I got to play two completely different courses in one 18 hole round! Conditions are perfect throughout the course. Par 5s were designed very well and really present some great risk/reward decisions to make while playing. Will be going back to try to play all 27 another day!
First Time Playing Here, I'll be back (If the place isn't developed into homes?)
Excellent course-Excellent condition, played holes 10-27. Loved the links layout especially. No food service on Mondays was a bummer. Pace of play was somewhat slow for a Monday, but the weather was beautiful, so.. Played with a former member who told me the the place sold to some investment group, and there is talk of developing the course into homes. That would stink, as I plan on coming back at least a couple times a year from here on. Would be a loss of a gem of a course.
Great course but was extremely slow. Waited on every shot.
Great Shape, nice day.
Eagle Ridge is the top of the class in Ocean County. Played the back tees and the tee boxes were MINT.
same goes for the fairways.
Greens were still recovering from Being aerated so from past experience I felt they were a little slow. They were also slightly bumpy.
The bunkers need some work, and I hope they put some effort into them over the winter. The few I was in we’re not raked. I do not mean by players, I am referring to the course did not write them.
The staff is always friendly there and accommodating. I’m a little disappointed in what used to be the best practice range for practice for public play in the area But it simply has not been kept well. Overall, Eagle Ridge Is a gem compared to other public courses in the area.
First time playing after 20 years
I had previously played the original 18 holes approximately 20 years ago. So this was the first time playing the 19-27 holes.
The course was in very good condition with the exception of the greens. We were only informed when we arrived that the greens had been aerated the previous 2 days.
The course layout was also a little confusing, not being familiar with the course. Some very interesting holes and elevation changes. I recommend having a rangefinder with slope and always going with an extra club when in doubt, to avoid front bunkers. A good mix of long and short par 4s, and reachable par 5s for long hitters.
I enjoyed playing the course and hope to return to play again when the greens recover from aeration.
