Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis
About
The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on fifteen of the 18 holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

Goat Ranch
No grass in the fairways....spotty grass on the greens......Literally the worst condition course I have ever played......no exaggeration!
A Little Disappointing
I was a little disappointed with this course. I thought that since it was associated with the resort, the condition of the course would be better. Fairways were mostly brown and sandy and the greens were cooked and a little weedy. The upside was the course layout was pretty good, the staff was very friendly, the pace of play was under 4 hours and the price paid through Golf Now was very fair for this course at this time of year.
Decent Course, poor conditions
Course has potential, maintenance is needed. Greens are small and bare in many spots. Likely tough to grow grass this close to the beach. Take it for what it is, a resort course that could use some TLC.
Cheap golf vs the resort courses
So, I used to play Bluewater Bay and Seascape many years ago. Bluewater Bay has totally deteriorated. They sold on of their 9 to developers and the other 2 9 are in bad shape. If you are looking to just practice then this if fine, but I would not play thus course with friends, I would shell out the $$ and play Santa Rosa or one of the resort courses.
Seascape, in much better condition than Blue water but that would not be hard! The greens are actually pretty good for the most part and they do have some fun holes. I would recommend this course for a practice round or a round with friends. It is still not in great shape but not the worst.
Bluewater for literally a practice round ONLY.
Seascape okay for a round if under $60 and if you are not super fussy with tee boxes etc. Nig plus is the greens for the most part are in good shape.
Course needs major Improvement
Course looks as if no money is being put into it and found out there will be a new building going in one area. I talked to two people who work there and they told us after we started to play that they do not even know what is going on and that yes no money is being put in keeping it up. What a shame. I wish I knew that before I booked staying and to play there. There was also a issue telling us to up our pace which was annoying. There was no one behind us 90% of the time and since me and my wife are over 70 years old, yes our pace is a little slower. The club parking lot is also in bad shape. Will not play or stay here again.
First time vistor
Was really disappointed in the upkeep of the course. Didn’t look well maintained compared to online pictures. Lots of dead grass in fairways and upkeep around waterways was over grown and not well keep.
You get what you pay for
Stayed on property for the reason of being able to play at this course, read reviews multiple times and still gave it a shot but should have listened to them. Played in the evening with my daughters, they saw their first gator on hole 6. We made the turn and after having to call the club house about one of the carts not moving (near the gator) my cart gave out on midway through hole 10. We tried calling club house again but it was after 6 pm and no one answered so we left it out there and had a cart boy go chase it. Overall probably the worst golf outing but staff is great, I assume it’s going downhill due to the future development that will be built on the course.
Played Seascape about 10 years ago and it was not as I remembered. Needs a lot of work. Only about half the greens did not have some sort of damage to them. Tee boxes were about the same.
Vacation golf on a budget
Seascape was a great little course for the money compared to the other resort courses near by. I arrived a little over an hour early before my tee time and the starter got myself and a local right out and on within 20 minutes of being there, I really appreciated that and was super friendly. The course conditions as far as tee boxes and fairways were a little chewed up in places but not everywhere. I thought the greens were really good not perfect but my ball rolled true, there were one or two greens that were worse than the rest. Course signage could have been better, if I hadn’t gotten paired with a local I might have had a hard time finding some of the tees. Overall great little course and would recommend it to friends and will play again.
Seascape more like Moonscape
Course layout is great but course is in very poor condition. Huge bare areas on greens and fairways.
Could be a great course but needs a lot of work
The course staff was very polite and welcoming, the conditions however were incredibly bad. If you are vacationing, and hoping for a scenic & well kept course, I would highly recommend going else where.
Appreciate Seascape for what it is
I generally play at Seascape at least once when I am in Destin. If you want a resort course, there are plenty of them in the area. If you want a course that is in perfect condition, this isn’t it. If you want a course that is not super difficult to play and is fun and doesn’t take a whole day to play a round, this is your place. The people are nice and it doesn’t cost over $100 like most of the other places nearby. Give Seascape a chance and appreciate it for what it is.
Good Course
This course was easier and enjoyable to play at. There were some defects on the greens, probably from weather then general wear and tear, that made it difficult to putt. For being just your average golfer I was able to play and just enjoy the course in between the weather that came through.
Waste of time
Poor conditions as management is going to build more condos and make it an executive course. So they are not really taking care of it. IMO...
