Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Very disappointed
We played in the afternoon round starting about around 5 it started coming out pulling all the flags so we had no flags then the ranger around 5:30 rust us off the course all we had was hundred yards in on the 18th and he made us leave at 5:30 very disappointed. First time I'd ever been rushed off of course like that
2nd Chance
My last revue for this course,I wrote a good revue, but I complained it was to long of a course for seniors, but today it seemed that they put the golds closer to the reds, and I was able to handle the shorter distances. I was on in regulation on most holes,Par 5's still a little long for us,but overall a wonderful round.
Nice day
Course looks good greens rolling ture and fast no issues with anything had a good time will play again soon
nice course, lot of doglegs holes, interesting
play this course, once a week or so, like it, nice people
at the proshop, starter is nice,
Good course staff lacking
Course Is great. Pro shop doesn’t sell premium balls by dozen just over priced sleeves. Starter was pushy to rush you off moment showed up hand range balls in hand trying to get me to start
Good Layout in Good Condition
For the Tampa area this is a very hilly course...nice change of pace. It's certainly challenging with no short par 3's and a 600 yard par 5 (white tees). Has one of the most scenic par 3's (#15). Regardless what tee box you play, play #15 from the top of the hill.
Greens were very quick and rolled well.
Diamond Hill
Good greens at a fun course to play and if you want a bigger challenge their back tees will accomodate that.
Great round
Staff are great, conditions are very good.
The new carts with gps are very enjoyable and appreciated.
Watch out for gators!
Long course
My wife and I are both Seniors, this course is 6,000 yards from the Golds, par 5's unreachable in 3 par 4's all over 325, par 3's at least 160 plus, very difficult to score good with the length of this course. Other than that,it was a very nice game.
Didn’t tee off til 30 mins after scheduled.
There was a line of 6 carts at the tee when our tee time was up. Took 30 extra minutes to finally tee off
Great course for the price
Great course at a good price. Course was very enjoyable.
Slow play
Tee time was 9:22am but couldn’t tee off until 10am as there was a line at the tee box to tee off. The foursome in front of us all hit two balls slowing the play even more. Once we started playing we ended up having to wait on every hole to continue.
Tee times
If you have a tee time for 11 you shouldn't have to wait on three groups of walk ups to play first. Allow the ones with actual tee times to play at their time and then others that don't follow when time is provided. Playing behind so many groups to start led to slow play all day when that shouldn't have been an issue.
Great Course For All Levels
As far as central Florida courses go you can’t get much more elevation change. The hazards are well laid out and challenge you to think about more than just a grip it and rip it plan of attack. Greens were a little worn out but still in decent shape. The rough is really rough with patches of cut grass which can sometimes make it very difficult to find your ball if you never find a fairway like myself. Other than that it’s an amazing course!
Greens and fairways were in good condition. Some tee boxes could use some work and it is difficult to locate balls in the ruff sometimes because dead cut grass or a type of hay can sometimes obscure your ball.
Rough Roughs
The roughs were very rough. Spent too much time looking for balls in the roughs. Noticeable lack of maintenance.
Mediocre day
The pro shop staff upon arrival was nice but gave no direction whatsoever. I didn’t know where to go after check in and had to scoop my own range balls out of the bucket behind the counter. The starter was very nice and helpful, however, trying to find the driving range was an adventure within itself. The range shouldn’t even be classified as a range. It was regular St. Augustine grass and as tall as the grass in your front yard. No structure and it was ridiculous. The course was okay, it could use some work but overall it was decent. The maintenance crew was ridiculous upon themselves. I had a gentleman mowing the fringe of the green while I was putting and drove next to me the entire time on the green. Not even being polite and turning off the blades and waiting. This happened 3 times in a 4 hole stretch. It was just rude. Between the pace of play, and the maintenance staff, I only played 9 holes and didn’t even finish the 18. 2 1/2 hours on the front. Not my best experience at a course and it was very disappointing.
Thank you for playing Diamond Hill and for your review. The torrential rains earlier in the season made it difficult to keep up with cutting the rough. I assure you it has been addressed and the rough once again is in playable condition. We hope your next visit will be soon so that you can see for yourself.
