Fun
The course had some challenging spots it was fun. The greens could of been a bit faster. Some roughs were actual roughs and enjoyable. Overall fun. I would golf it again.
Great links style course!
Great links style course! Great food! Played in less than 4 hrs on a 70* Saturday in March.
Nicest club house you may ever see!
This is a good course. There aren't any trees on the course, so if you hate trees, this is the course for you. Bring some mosquito repellent if you plan on playing here in the summer and fall, as it is built right next to a bunch of lake habitat. Many times you'll find superb deals on golfnow for this course.
Great value course
Staff is great, course is usually in really good shape. Can't beat the value. Back nine is the prettier than front.
Slow play but course was fine
Took a long time to play 18 holes but it was a Saturday afternoon. Course and greens were in pretty good shape.
Condition
I play 4 times a week. The course is in excellent condition.
Awesome Course For A Great Deal
I was surprised at how awesome this course was, especially for the price of 18 holes, it was well worth the drive and money. I will be playing there again. It was challenging, but open and didn't lose many balls. I thought it was very well taken care of. I loved it! I also chipped in from about 35 yards out for my first ever EAGLE! Lol
Fun from the tips
Played the tips this time and it is challenging! Course in great shape as usual
Nice scenes with lots of potential
Sleepy Ridge offers some beautiful scenery and challenging golf for a competitive price. Practice facility was well maintained. Each cart is equipped with a GPS- we tried several carts, but couldn't find a GPS unit that worked, and ended up using a phone app instead. Course was in good shape for late in the season, but it seems that divot and ball mark repair is the exception, rather than the rule, leading up to our visit. The greens were a bit tore up, mostly from old spike marks and unrepaired ball marks. I played the back tees, which made the course just over 7,000 yards and was a good test. My wife (20+ handicapper) played the ladies tees and was very pleased with the tee positioning and accommodation for a beginning player. Front 9 was a bit difficult to navigate with the lack of GPS unit and minimal signage to direct you to the next tee. The first few holes were frustrating, because there aren't many obvious yardage markers (some sprinklers in normal landing areas do have yardages). Once we got the app running the round went pretty smooth. Pace of play was an issue during this round. We played on a Sunday morning and the course was relatively empty. Mostly twosomes and threesomes were playing from what I could tell and they seemed to be local members. We finished the round in around 4 hours and 45 minutes, which is much longer than I expected it would take with the amount of players on the course. Overall, I thought that Sleepy Ridge was a good test for the price and could be one of the nicer courses in the Salt Lake Valley with some small modifications (especially functional GPS units in the carts).
A Thousand times better than last Orem Golf course.
I have been playing here for years. They recently started rolling their greens which has been amazing. Staff is the nicest out of almost all courses I play at. It can be packed and pace of play is very slow. Granted this is an easier course for beginners so it makes sense. A lot of houses being built in not the safest locations for golfers.
Flat course with lots of overgrown weeds
The course is very flat and plays short. The conditions are less than great. Some/many of the sand traps have weeds growing in them and the sand is very course. There are no maps are diagrams of the holes so first time players will have difficulty finding the best lines on their drives as the course is flat and the weeds have grown quite high between the tees and fairways on many holes.
Unbeatable vistas
This is a fun course to play. It offers plenty of challenge but favors straight shots. Found the course to be in terrific condition. Have already made plans to return. The view of the Wasatch Mountains from anywhere on the golf course is magnificent.
GPS Problems
It was a good round. I enjoy playing at Sleepy Ridge. I was upset about one thing, my cart's GPS didn't work on the front nine. I changed carts on the back nine and the GPS on that cart didn't work either. I wouldn't have minded if there were decent yardage markers on the course but there was hardly anything marking distance. I get really frustrated when courses minimize yardage markers and this was definitely the case. other than that the round was fun.
A new favorite
I found this deal online and based on some positive feedback from a friend that had played here before, I booked it. I was incredibly impressed from the moment I arrived. The club house is quite majestic and the course was fantastic! The front nine was a little more forgiving and the back nine required some shot-maklng! The course conditions were excellent and the green speed fast. I will definitely be returning to play here again.
target golf
Greens rolled great. Course wanders around wet lands and you need to stay in the fairways but it is not a long course and is manageable.
Great Value - Good Deal on Golf Now
Got a great deal for 4 golfers to go 18. Was a very hot day and we played in the middle of the day.
Nice track
A couple of postcard holes and many more with potential
Enjoyable Golfing
Course was in very good shape. Scenery was great.
Enjoyed our round,
Surprisingly Great Value
During the course of a lengthy driving trip heading north. I chose this course due to its convenient location and price. Although I was not sure what to expect, it exceeded my expectations. Despite recent storms, the course was in terrific condition. The greens were excellent and undulating, but not extreme. It had links characteristics, but with the surrounding homes, it is more modern suburban. The fairways were wide, pretty flat, and rather fast. Driver is not necessary on some holes, especially the back nine. A good score can be had without much stress. A great score can be had with your "A" game. Beautiful clubhouse and classy decorative features abound. A very fun course.
Worst Staff in the whole valley
