Geoff
Turned up at bull bay to a great reception teed off early coarse was great and the members we encounter were really friendly shot 2 over par playing off 10 hc I will be back to play it again
Beautiful Bull Bay
A fantastic course with outstanding views. The course was in excellent condition considering the amount of rainfall recently!
Surprisingly hilly for a links course, would definitely recommend a buggy. Quite a few blind holes causing lost strokes but all In all, an excellent round of golf. Looking forward to playing the course again.
Spring golf
Considering the recent weather the course was in really good condition. All greens open and fairly true running
Great layout
Always enjoy this obviously much loved course
Tricky and picturesque
Playing at Bull Bay for the first time is really difficult. The course terrain is very uneven and on many tees you don't see where your ball has landed. The course is generally well looked after but if you didn't hit the fairway your chances of finding the ball in the rough are very slim. Greens were really good: reasonably firm and nicely cut. Surprisingly few bunkers for a links course and a couple of those I ended up in had very little sand.
The course offers absolutely stunning views. If you reliable off the tee (don't need to be long just straight) then the course offers a wonderful experience.
Windy and wild but fun.
This course has some of the best views in North Wales across Bull Bay and the headland but because of its fantastic location you also get some of the strongest winds. I enjoyed adapting my game to the conditions with the rough cut fairly to compensate for the inevitability of missing greens and fairways. It's not particularly a long course and requires a bit more thought than reaching for the driver every hole, the greens were immaculate and ran perfectly true ....some of the best I've seen. The only slight issues were with a few blind tee shots which I never enjoy especially being the first time at the course but this is to be expected on this terrain. Some of the tee box positions also could have been better some were too close to the previous green so that you have to wait for the group in front to tee off before you can make your approach. Overall it was a great day and now I've played the course casually I have no hesitation entering their open events in the future.
great golf course
I played this course midweek and found it quiet and easy to get on at a suitable time. I have played it a few times before and it is always in great condition. A really good challenge of golf especially with the wind blowing off the sea. well worth a visit !!!
A real treat on the Isle of Anglsey
Few, if any North Americans ever make it to Wales' Isle of Anglesey, but it's a real treat, particularly for golfers who stumble upon Bull Bay. It's an ever-scenic and interesting heathland course that tumbles up and down rolling land overlooking the sea. Gorse is ever-present and there are some really tough holes like the uphill 7th, and other holes you have to pass thru cattle guards to reach the green. The 18th is a gem: straight downhill towards the sea - one of the great closing holes in all of Wales.
