This is the 5th time we've played here and I can't overstate the friendliness of the staff and the condition and layout of the course. We first played at the end of may and the course was a bit wet after the long winter but since then it has been superb. The frpnt nine and the back links
1st choice in north wales
This is probably the 10th or so time I have played Pwllheli as a returning holiday maker in the locality. I feel that it offers the right balance of some challenging holes, but also has holes which will reward good play. The staff are really nice, particularly in the pro shop.
I have played all the other courses of note in the local area over the years, on balance I think Pwllheli has the best to offer, and would be first on my list on my next return visit.
A game of two halves (well almost)
Great course and a real challenge. Front 7 are interesting parkland type holes. Hole 2 could do with a little more signage(look at a shot saver before teeing off!) but is still a good challenge.
Once you get back to the clubhouse to the eighth the course transforms into a fantastic links course with great view of the islands off Abersoch and Cardigan Bay; if you are very lucky you can see dolphins! Great tees on the next few holes; just watch for the public walking the coastal path!
The course turns back inland for 16,17 & 18. Despite this 16 with a blind tee shot over a hill and 17 a par four narrowing to a tight green are my two favourite holes on the course; on both you need to land your drive I the right place.
In summary, despite no par 5’s it is a fantastic course where you don’t need to be a ‘bomber’ to make par on most holes. Set on the coast it has fantastic views and the staff at the pro shop are very helpful. Highly recommended!
Easy to arrange
Great course with a mixture of links and parkland, very well kept and in good condition. Greens were very good and members were friendly and approachable. Would totaly reccomend playing here
Poor pace of play spoilt day
Course is a lovely little track some greens diseased which was unfortunate but in the main course was ok considering hot weather
Staff great and welcoming but as with every golf course now our round was spoilt by slow play and we walked in from the 15th
When will golf clubs everywhere address this problem? If you're a golfer that takes more than 4 hours then please give up you're ruining it for everybody else.

Third time we have played this course on a hot deal and it just gets better every time. A very tidy and well maintained course, quite flat with a parkland first nine and links on the back. The staff in both the shop and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good 3 and a half hours round and we benefited from gorgeous weather. All in all one of those memorable days.
Nice course. Half parkland, half links. Suffered a bit from recent bad weather, but still very playable.
Enjoyable round with another visitor and a member. Course was good especially the holes along the coast line. Greens could have been in better condition.
played last week in very good weather. only the links half of the course was open and so we played fron 8 to 16 twice. great course very enjoyable round quite testing links half only sorry we didn't play the parkland half which looked gorgeous. we will definitely be back
Made very welcome, millionairs golf for front 9. Wet conditions but course played very well. Will be back!
Enjoyable golf course, good variety of links and parkland golf
Nicely laid out course. Front portion of course is parkland and back portion is links style.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Challenging course with some great views.
Pwllheli. Jewel on the crown.
Arrived early (07.50). Made very welcome. Millionaires golf. Had whole course to myself for an hour.
Course in lovely condition. Back 9 more challenging than front.
Bit disappointed that there were no par 5's. Tho back 9 had a couple of good (400yd+) par 4's.
Windbreakers Annual Trip
Our Society of ageing individuals of varying abilities have visited Pwllheli annually for 40 years. We have always been afforded a warm welcome from members and club officials alike. The Professional and his staff are most helpful.
one for the list
Played Pwllheli on a glorious saterday afternoon in October, the welcome in the Pro shop was superb, even asked if we would like the chef to stay if we wanted to have some food after the game,,,, Saturday afternoon nobody in front of us and nobody behind us, had time to make the most of our visit, front seven is parkland, nice tree lined fairways but the holes were a bit up and down, with fairly wet fairways considering there had been no rain for days. from 8 to finish its a cross between heath and links, a bit different actually, a nice selection of holes, the course did not feel overly difficult but the weather/wind was totally benign, I would imagine a totally different obstacle in inclement conditions, overall condition of the course was good, would definately return and recommend to friends. nice one !!
