Great value for 11 quid.
Never played the course before and really enjoyed it. With so many trees there never seems to be a straightforward shot for a twenty handicapper like me. But provided you kept it straight scoring well was possible.
Special mention for john MC Donald the club pro. What a really friendly and nice bloke he is. Will definitely go back and play there again
Cold Golf Day
It’s was bitterly cold but all 18 holes were playable. Hilly course with some challenging holes. Lots of trees so I found out lol
Llantrisant Golf Club
Very good course however conditions let it down today, payed for myself and Father to go round 18 holes but conditions on back nine were very bad- 3 holes closed due to drainage and at least another 3 were almost unplayable.. front 9 was great, back 9 very disappointing with drainage issues
Should really have been closed
3 holes were shut and really 5 or 6 were unplayable. This should have been cancelled and refunded.
Friendly club and excellent course!
Very friendly staff made this nice little course a winner!
Conditions being what they are at this time of year weren’t ideal and only 15 holes were in play, however the team member in the pro shop was extremely helpful in guidance and told us we were welcome to play any holes twice or go around again.
Was very boggy due to heavy rains but we chose to play that day and made the best of it. Would love to play again on a dry day! We will definitely be coming back as the staff were extremely friendly and even gave us some left over buffet spread after our round in the clubhouse while we were having a beer.
Having checked out the course online beforehand the only thing I can mark down on was that there was no breakfast available despite it being listed with a menu on the website, however they did make an excellent coffee and had other snacks / sausage roll available.
Lantrisant & Ponty
Great course really good condition for October friendly staff. Can't fault it. Looking forward to play there again.
Good
This was a nice round. It would have been better if the pair of plonkers behind me understood tee times and weren’t hitting balls over my head from the first tee. I’d have waved them through had they not been so rude
Excellent challenge
The golf course was excellent condition challenging tight fairways overall excellent course hidden gem
Good fun to play once.
Tiring as very hilly and finishing with an uphill par 4.
Top course
First time we have played there not the easiest course quite challenging but we all enjoyed it and will definitely play there again
Lovely course
Lovely course all around, joy to play on and will definitely be going back for that price.
this is a great course
fantastic course , great value , lovely views , would return here
In need of love and attention.
Fairways and tees in shocking condition.
Divot and tees clearly not repaired in a very long time.
Very disappointed.
Glorified Pitch & Putt
First time playing here and would not come back. Dreadfully slow round behind 4 guys in football tops that did not let us through. Had locals behind hitting balls at us on the green. Blind shots on every single shot and zero grass on the tee boxes. Driver is not needed on this course, definitely feels like a longer pitch and putt rather than a golf course. Positives are the greens were in decent condition and the staff were friendly, although the locals behind us were not.
Great value shorter course
Played for the first time and will be back. Friendly staff in golf shop and clubhouse. Nice scenic course which is in general shorter than many but does have plenty of challenges to negotiate. However this course is very hilly as many holes alternate to down than back up so buggies may be needed. Course was somewhat scorched but so are many at the moment. Nice grrens but a little on the slow side. Also likely due to this dry spell and grass left longer. Also some crossovers green to tee but these are signposted. Overall this is a lovely little course with very reasonable green fees.
Decent course.
Weather was great, course was in great condition. Short tricky course with plenty of dog legs. A few blind greens, not my favourite, but a course you could play with irons only. I'm a 13 handicap so use to using a wood. Remainder me of the lakes course at the Vale. Would recommend in this weather.
HARD WALKING COURSE
Course was a very hard walk, and wouldnt recommend to a high high handicapper. Greens were superb, but fiarways were very wet and boggy

Thanks very much for your review. Yes the course looks easy on the card but plays very difficult if you hit the ball offline. Our club Pro is integral to the club and always provides a great welcome to members and visitors alike.
