Decent Course. Awful Starter
Lake Shore C.C. is a decent course, not very long (5800+ from Whites), but in solid condition.
My issues really centered around off the course problems. My group booked a late morning tee time on a Saturday, so I understand the course being busy. Unfortunately the starter was only making matters worse. He pushed us to get started early, despite 2 groups still playing the 1st hole. We proceeded to watch 2 full groups play the Par 3 second hole. When we walked off the green on hole #2, there were 3 groups behind us already waiting. No way a course should get that backed up on hole #2, especially with a starter working.
A second issue, and more of just a heads up, the food stand at the turn is cash only. You can take your receipt inside to the pro shop to pay, but there is an $8.00 minimum. Like I said, more of a heads up.
Basic Course
I like to only play this course once a year. pretty basic layout. OK conditions. Pretty easy not to loose a ball in a round if you are anything decent.
great for the money
as a member I love this course for the money, the only negative is that since it is semi private you might get stuck behind a few bozos that don't know how to golf and it can slow down the whole course
