Stonebridge Golf Club, named after the red rock bridges sprinkled throughout its landscape, offers three nine-hole courses, the Creekside, the Sagebrush, and the Sunrise. They are played in three 18-hole combinations, Sagebrush/Creekside, Sunrise/Sagebrush, and Creekside/Sunrise. Conveniently located a short distance from both the airport and downtown Salt Lake City, the golf courses at Stonebridge are all Scottish links-style courses. There are lakes and creeks as well as many sand bunkers on all of the courses. The fairways have wide landing areas there is also and abundance of native grass. The Sagebrush nine possesses a particularly difficult finishing hole, a par 5 with water running alongside the entire length.

Another great experience

Stonebridge is a challenging set of three 8-hole courses that I have come to enjoy playing; despite the typical winds that exist, it always poses interesting rewards and challenges; it feels like the last several weeks the two courses have only been Creekside/Sagebrush with Sunrise not included, but it has forced me to formalize my strategy on these two 9-hole courses; I really enjoy Sunrise, but I will be patient and await its availability; I don’t recommend this course to beginners because it is quite challenging, but intermediate and above will enjoy the challenge and strategy needed to score well.

Great greens

Best rolling greens I've played in a while. Course was mostly flat but still plenty challenging. Creekside had water in play on almost every hole. Fairways in good shape. If you're walking, just know the driving range is a good 7 minute walk from the clubhouse and first tee. They do a military discount. I remembered after I paid and was given a rain check for the difference. Hope to make it back to put it to use and play this great course again.

Windy, well paced walking round

Other than fairly stiff winds (10-12mph) which are common at Stonebridge GC and greens recovering from aeration, this was a smooth, well paced round; I look forward to smoother, faster greens in a week or so; there were no issues with other groups o the pace of play was excellent.

Fun round during COVID-19

I felt good to finally get out at Stonebridge GC which had been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic; our 2-some was paired with a single for a walking round which has been very common at most local courses; the staff was friendly and accommodating from a closed clubhouse which neighbored an open cafe/snack bar following social distancing guidelines; the fairways were in very good shape, but the tee boxes needed to be mowed and the greens were still recovering from aeration with sand-filled plugs that affected the speed and break of most putts; we were held up on the front nine with a 4-some and 3-some that played slowly; we waited on most every tee box until the back nine which did open up more; it appeared both groups in front of us only played the front nine; with the circumstances, I was grateful to be golfing, and I will play there again soon.

My "Go to" Golf Course

Love Stonebridge! My golf buddies and I go here the most. Centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley and close to everyone's work and home.. It's a beautiful course and the greens and fairways are always in good shape. We can go after work and get in a quick 9 holes. The course is fairly flat so we usually walk. Each of the three 9 hole courses has it's challenges with a variation of water hazards and large fairway bunkers. Creekside is the toughest for me but I've played it well many times. You can't beat the price either for a golf course of this caliber.

Not a course for all golfers

Stonebridge has become a favorite club because of its diversity and challenges; not until last year was this a club I enjoyed because my game was not consistent enough nor good enough to make the diverse shots in the varying winds that frequent this area; I would not recommend this golf club to beginners or casual golfers; they tend to slow the pace of play beyond what proper etiquette expects, and I haven’t seen a marshal address thus concern with groups that slow the pace; it is a very fun course that provides challenges and strategy.

Great round

Stonebridge has always been a difficult course for me because of the layout, hazards, water, and common wind; it is a challenging 27-hole course (3 9-hole courses) with each round providing new challenges; this particular round was most excellent because it was not busy for the first time in a very long time; there was a 3-some in front of our 3-some that let us play through after the 4th hole, and it was clear sailing after that; the course conditions were very good; the wind was present but not overly challenging; the staff was friendly, and we breezes through without issue; this was by far the best round I have ever played at Stonebridge.

Challenging course, varying degrees

I would not recommend this course for the beginner due to lots of water and wind on hole layouts with rolling, undulating fairways; personally I have been refining my game and still struggle playing here, but the challenge level helps gauge my improvement; always a fun experience that keeps me grounded.

Busy, challenging course

This course is a regular location for me and golf buddies because of a great deal West Valley City offers with their two city courses (The Ridge); this makes them extremely popular and therefore busy; the great thing about Stonebridge is that it has three 9-hole courses so you seldom play the same 18-hole round; additionally, all three 9-hole courses are walkable; the staff is generally very friendly and make the experience worthwhile

Fun, difficult course

This course is not for the beginner golfer; this course is challenging overall and complexity is added with the regular breeze/wind that changes directions throughout each round; the three 9-hole courses provide a different look almost every time I play; the two 9-hole courses are generally not the same on consecutive rounds so it changes the play which makes it fun and interesting; it is a very popular course that is very well attended regularly; it is difficult to stop in and get out for an 18-hole round unless it has been planned, and there are players of every level with many electing to walk which slows the pace of play; it is a walkable course, but walking slows rounds.

Challenging course for all levels

Stonebridge is an excellent, challenging course that always makes me realize that good golf requires regular practice; I used to avoid playing here but now challenged myself regularly with this 3 9-hole (27 holes) course which brings a new format most rounds; it is a course that can be walked, but I encourage a cart if you play an 18-hole round.

Great fall conditions

This has become our go to course during late fall. Conditions are great for end of November and much of the course us green. Pace was ok at 4 hrs but the group ahead of us had us waiting on every hole with no one in front of them on the first 9. The course is a good challenge with tiered greens, water on many holes, and can play over 7k yards.

Great value and fun golf

My first time in Utah this course was links style.very good greens, and very large will lots of mounding. Some of the fauirways were rough, probably late season trouble. Club house was beautiful and pro shop well apppinted. Very friendly with great food service, too. I would highly recommend it.

This Course Has Great Greens

I love this 27-hole Johnny Miller design. There is not a bad hole on it. The greens are some of the best putting surfaces in the valley. They do have 3 holes that the fairways are a little rough on due to a salt problem but the other 27 are so pure you would think for sure you are playing a country club. The staff was super friendly and their twilight rate is a steal. Stopped for lunch and their Philly Steak was delicious. HIghly recommend!!

So....

The course is nice but the greens and fairways don't get the up keep they need. The deal included practice balls but the staff said it wasn't included and acted put out because I was getting a deal on the course. They called everyone to their tee times besides my group that had made our tee times on golf now. Besides that the food was good and the staff there was great, nice friendly and fast with the food. There are some regulars at the course that act like they own the place and play slow and if they let you play through they hit balls into you as you go by. For $14 it's worth it, but I wouldn't play the place without a good deal.

Good Course

I've played all 27 holes of the course several times. The course is in good shape, greens are clean and well kept, unlike most public courses. Lots of wind on some days. Lots of geese droppings. Course is challenging. Great facilities, new, clean, and maintained.
