CityWest Hotel and Golf Resort - Lakes Course

It is a very nice course. Some incredibly beautiful holes, like the 18th. A nice blend of difficult and playable holes. It was very enjoyable. Was a bit slow at times but it was a a busy day.

The three players used to be members in CityWest up to approx 10 years ago. Very positive experience playing it after all the years and was in really great condition for end Dec. Will be back to play during summer. Highly rated.

Nice course the front and back 9s are quite different from one another.

Front 9 shorter and very tight, water on at least 5 holes, if you're a big hitter you need to be very accurate and only really need your driver on 3 holes.

Back 9 is longer and more open with less water to contend with (so fewer lost balls!). 18th hole is nice par 5, if you hit a long tee shot the green is makable in 2 but you need to carry a big pond so need to be confident with your long irons/fairway woods.

Greens in good condition though sandy, lots of rain of late so soft underfoot and bunkers sodden. Drainage, not the best but not the worst.

Staff are friendly, there's no separate clubhouse you just use the hotel bar/restaurant facilities.

Best value course in Dublin, €18 for a round (with member) and only €800 for a year full membership.

No range, practice facilities are not great, two nets to hit into, small putting green and chipping area a bit overgrown.

I have to say what a lovely course. I played the full 18. The front 9 holes are par 4 and par 3, the back 9 is longer with 3 par 5. The over all condition of the course was in fantastic shape the greens were well sanded for this time of year. I can honestly say I will be back to play here again.

Really enjoyable course...1st time playing course so was really helpful that i joined up with a member on the 1st tee...Trevor was very helpful and made my round very enjoyable....water features on several holes so accuracy is key...great value for €22.50 in Dublin....will def be back.

Not the longest course out there except for some of the par 3s. Course was in very good condition and if you are ping off the tee it will play nicely into your hands. Only issue was pace of play as the course was packed.

Course in very good condition. Very courteous in pro shop. Friendly.

Playing off 20. Scratched 8 holes. 5 pars. Lost more balls than I can remember. Fairways amazing and greens very good indeed. Thoroughly recommend. Not for a beginner

Course in great condition, played here lots of times in the past, always great value and staff and facilities are top class...

Really enjoy this course but it doesn’t drain well this time of year, very muddy. Course is very well kept. Greens and bunkers were excellent. Some of the Tee boxes could be flatter.

Good course, friendly staff, but overall it was very disappointing days golf : greens had been recently drilled (no notification when booking, which is usually flagged up when booking, not sure who is responsible for this being omitted, course or golf now ?) and the majority of the course was very very soft/wet.
