My idea of heaven
I’m so lucky to be a member of this club. This is the place where life makes sense, that gives you the space and time to enjoy fresh air, gorgeous scenery, beautiful wildlife (pheasants and red kites) and all that regardless of the type of golf that you play.
And then there is the course itself – it’s not very hilly, it’s not very long but it’s tricky. Set in a valley, surrounded by trees with 2 rivers that meet in the middle of the course. A true test of keeping the ball on the fairway, miss it left and you could be the woods, miss it right and you could be in the river.
Joe Carr called Woodenbridge Ireland’s Augusta, I call it home.
This was my second time playing this course, the condition of the course was excellent the greens were some of the best i have played on , condition of the course superb , looking forward to my next visit
An Absolute Gem of a Course
This was the first time playing WoodenBridge and it will be the first of many. This course is an absolute gem with the most picturesque holes winding thought the landscape. I can only imaging how this course would look in the height of summer and plan to find out for myself.
We loved our golf game in Woodenbridge and look forward to next time
a Must play course
Love this course would play it 2 or 3 times a week if I could but a 120 km round trip is a bit much even for woodenbridge...... We were unlucky with the weather it was raining heavy for the first 9 holes but then cleared up still worth playing even in the rain playing it again in 3 weeks with golf society hope the weather is a little better then... course is always in great condition .... fairways can be a little tight at times. and greens will test u so if ur in the area don't leave without playing it
The Augusta of the East Coast-If you can then play!
First time playing and was really impressed with the condition, particularly the greens. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too kind and we got soaked. Had nice cup of tea and scone in club house?
This course is one of my favourites, it is an easy walk with stunning scenery. It is always in good condition. 4th hole is a great par 3 uphill around 190 yards with a very tricky green. 5th is index 1 long par 4 with trees on the left really tough hole.18th would be the signature hole and not for faint hearted a long carry over water, its a long par 5 and believe me a par here is a great score.Overall i really enjoyed my trip to woodenbridge and will definitely return.
Course in beautiful condition.
