San Carlos Golf Club

The course is in great shape. Greens run fast and extremely well maintained. Fairways are fairly wide and very plush... That being said..The customer service was very rude to my wife saying that she needed a rental bag on the cart even though everyone had paid full rate and were only going to hit a couple of shots using my clubs out of my bag.. anyways so I said whatever and got a Rental bag and threw it on the cart and apparently had to “put clubs in it to make it look normal for course policy...” ? So I threw my putter in her bag and proceeded to the first tee where I was greeted by the starter who complained that her and her friend’’s shirts didn’t have a big enough collar on them... so we got them shirts from the pro shop and finally tee’d off only to have starters, rangers, the head pro and the bag drop guys following us all day to make sure no more rules were broken.(I’ve played golf and worked in the golf industry for over 15 years and have never seen anything like this)... anyways, kind of a nightmare but I played there the day before when a different staff was working and it was quite pleasant!!! Anyways here is a review for all of you!

A real gem. Open fairways with some tough homes. Great pace of play.

I love playing the back nine at San Carlos. The course in in great shape, the people are friendly, I tee off at 8:22 and I’m home before 11:00.

My wife and I have played San Carlos 3 times in last couple weeks. We love the layout and the course overall. I will say that the staff at this course are the most friendly, and helpful, of any course in the area.
It is now our preferred course and looking forward to our next round.
Great value for the money and an enjoyable course.

I haven't played here for a couple of years. The fairway grass has never been better. The greens were smooth and pleasantly fast. The staff was very friendly and offered to let group of 6 go out as two threesomes instead of 4 and 2 as booked. I will definitely be back, and recommend the course.

As always staff personnel were excellent.. day was complete when there were no backups Good timing and spacing.

this was my first visit to your course and I was un aware of the rules and regulations. I parked in your lot and walked my clubs up to the cart attendants. While dropping off my clubs I asked "are coolers allowed" and was told unfortunately not, so I said ok no problem and proceeded to walk back to my vehicle to grab my cooler to transfer only water and ice. I was greeted out on the lot by one of your board members by the name of Art. This gentleman told me that coolers weren't allowed as well and if there was any alcohol in it that he would see to it personally that I be kicked off the premises. I told the gentleman i did not have alcohol that i only had water and ice and i was simply walking over to transfer it .Not once did he verify what was in my cooler nor did he see me put any alcohol in my cooler because there was nothing in my cooler except sparkling water and ice, which he then proceeded to walk back to my golf cart and physically load it with ice and water.the entire incident was uncalled for and unprofessional. It really put me in a sour mood all day which was supposed to be a great day of having fun with friends.

We had a very nice experience at San Carlos golf club. We used GolfNow got a good deal, the staff was friendly and the course was in really nice shape. The greens are fast and true.

First off, the place isn’t very nice. Didn’t really feel welcome at all. I got there a little more than an hour early so I could warm up and putt a little, So I got my bucket of range balls went to the range, hit two balls then told by the starter they made a mistake and couldn’t send three carts out for foursome so I got paired with someone else. So the range balls were a waste of money. We had a very slow group ahead of us and nothing was done about their pace of play. I understand little slow downs but this was ridiculous, especially since I was already paired with a strange group of people. I live here in the area and play a few times a week, and I’ll never go back.

Enjoyable nine holes. Conditions were very good. . Not too difficult with some well placEd water hazards. Would play again
