Good layout, great views.

Course a tad wet from all the recent rains. Needs a bit of TLC around the edges. Friendly helpful staff

A true gem by Eddie Hackett & Ron Kirby

This is a magnificent heathland course with many links features. The greens are US PGA spec and considered to be amongst the best putting surfaces in Ireland.
Breathtaking scenery.
Should be on everyone's list to play when visiting the south west.

Overlooked great course

Played this course in July 2017.
The clubhouse had just been re-designed & looks spectacular.
Well stocked pro shop with friendly staff.
Course was in excellent condition with superb greens & amazing views from each hole.
We were a four ball & the pace of play was good considering it was such a busy day on the course.
We also ate in the club restaurant greens & it was by far the best food we ate at any of the courses we visited.
Highly recommended

Looks like a great course with spectacular views .

Only got 11 holes in due to inclement weather, but the layout of the course was great.

North American style mistake from golf design's Dark Ages

I live in British Columbia, Canada, where we have a lot of courses like this, built in the 1990s or early 2000s and intended mostly to sell houses. They trade on their mountain side views, and are designed to be challenging rather than fun. This course is actually worse than most of those: the routing is all but unwalkable, and perhaps half of the holes are needlessly difficult, even after several bunkers were removed and greens flattened, as I understand was the case. Avoid.
