Raven's Claw Golf Club
About
Located in Limerick Township, Raven's Claw Golf Club is one of southeastern Pennsylvania's best golf and residential communities. It consistently ranks as one of the state's top 10. Carved from rolling hills and mature woodlands, the layout features a variety of different holes. No two holes are alike but they require some creative shot-making abilities. With tight fairways and undulating greens bordered by mounds of rough, the golf course also demands accuracy. The design incorporates links-style elements that present a formidable test. The golf course is undoubtedly challenging but there are also recovery opportunities on each hole, which makes it less daunting for beginners. One of Raven's Claw Golf Club's most memorable holes is the tricky penultimate hole. This unforgiving par-3 has a double-tiered, undulating green with no bailout areas to the left or right. Golfers that hit it short will face a blind second shot.

Great Course
Thoroughly enjoyed my round. It was a last minute decision and got a great deal via golf now. Great course layout and course was in great shape. A lot of long par 4's which can be a challenge but a good challenge. There was only a few people on the course and so I got round in 2 and a half hours. Will definitely got back again!
Great fall golf
Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was very fast. I had a great Golfnow rate. Very enjoyable afternoon!
Somewhat challenging
The course was rather empty on Thanksgiving. We were the last 2 people to play at 10:10am. Weather was chilly but not windy. Most tee boxes were in good shape. The greens were a little slow for my taste but rolled true. The only thing that bothered me was when I went into the pro shop to check in about 30 minutes before my tee time, the guy told me to come back in 20 minutes because I was there too soon. Then asked me if I wanted balls for the driving range. I just found that a bit strange. Just let me check in, I'm there now, I know when my tee time is?
Recovered Nicely
I played this course in August and gave it a bad review due to horrendous course conditions. I have to give kudos to the greens superintendent and his staff because the conditions of the course were much better and what I've come to expect of Ravens Claw. The bunkers still need a lot of work but the tees, fairways, greens and rough were all in very good shape..it proves the old adage that fall is for planting and growing grass. The pace of play was bad 4:50 but usually is on a weekend. There are a good number of places on this course where an average golfer will find trouble so frequent ball searches seem to be the order of the day. Plan on a 5 hour round if you tee off anytime after noon on a weekend.
Stay thirsty, my friends!
Nice layout, course in decent shape for November, greens could use some attention.
No clubhouse at the turn, no beverage cart, restaurant was closed
challenges ....oh yes...but enjoyed them. My husband did better than I but the fast greens killed us both.
Challenging ,very well maintained, can't wait to play this course again, I know we can do better. Pace of play was good,no waiting, greens were true and fairways were perfectly maintained.
Interesting layout. The course is a little long for me and some of the shots were challenging to say the least ,but for my husband and I ,who are SUPER seniors (80 years young ,)it was a SUPER day. We lived to tell the tale.
Raven's Claw Delight
It was a beautiful day and the course was in excellent condition. The fairways were and tee boxes were lush and properly mowed. There are multiple tee boxes to accommodate various levels of play, The pace of play was fast - we played in less than 4 hours.
Great shape Interesting course
This course is great to come back to and play again. The front nine is a nice golf layout with no surprises to prepare you for the back nine. Tricky par four played with the same club off the tee and into the elevated green. A tough and very long par three right before a true risk reward closing 18th. Challenging and fun. You'll do better the second time you play.
Raven's Claw
Great course and great prices. The food and drinks afterwards in the bar were also very good. Beverage cart staff is amazing
Too slow
Played Ravens Claw last Sunday. I'll start by saying that it is one of my favorite courses in the area. Great layout always in decent to good shape fair pricing. Now the bad part. It should not take me or anyone 5 plus hours to play a round of golf anywhere. Here's what I see as the problem, not just at Ravens Claw but at most courses theses days.Golfers playing from wrong sets of tees and Lack of rangers or. Rangers and starters not doing their jobs. Case In point. Foursome in front of my group all teed off from the blue tees. 3 of the 4 could not hit their ball past the red tees.. No starter there to guide them or say hey guys you might want to tee it forward. Ok fine so we chalked it up to first hole jitters, breakfast ball whatever, but this continued all day long. If you can't hit a golf ball more than 100 yards you have no right to play the blue tees..And spending upwards of 15 minutes on tee boxes while they looking for lost balls or flirted with the beverage cart girl. Meanwhile it was sometimes 3 foursomes deep behind them. Not one time did we see a ranger on the course. This needs to change or I will not be back its a problem that's growing worse
Pretty good conditions
A little pricey for the quality of course, but an overall good track. Worth playing a couple of times. 3 or 4 really tricky holes.
Air raid cover up
Found a great deal of Golf now for "special promotion" early Sunday Morning. Thought great, some of my cheap friends wou be able to go. Little did I know the course did not post on GolfNow (like most courses do) that they recently air rated. Nothing worse than being able to pick through a bunch of great courses and going with the only one that recently air rated. This type of behavior from golf courses make me want to quit the game some times. Just rediculous. Besides that the course was in ok shape with it being patchy and hard ground in places. The blue tees on the card are a little deceiving so we tried to play those first then switched to the whites on the back to keep it competitive.
5hr round burnt our fairways and greens
We informed the Marshells 2 to 3 times that guys in front of us were taking two tee shots on every hole. The guys in front of them were just as slow and they had a hole or two in front of them. The fairways and greens were just burnt out. A lot of bald spots. The course does have a nice layout to it and is a shame that the fairways were in such bad spots to it.
What a Joke
Save your money Guys!!! Burnt Fairways, greens filled with ball marks, numerous divots through out the course and 5 and a half hour pace on weekends.
Much better Courses in area,Turtle Creek, Bella Vista and Hickory Valley to name a few.
I do not know how this course gets the play that they do at the ridiculous prices they charge.
Coming from Philly( 30 miles) very disappointing.Never again.
This course needs some serious attention and it needs it now!!!
Very Disappointing. Stay Away until November
I've played Raven's claw over a dozen times in the past few years. It is one of my favorite layouts in the mid eastern PA area. This is the worst condition it has ever been in. The fairways were thin bordering on dead. They were just aerated in an attempt to begin the healing / growing process. It appears as if they are using all of their water on the greens because they were soft and over watered. We played at 1pm and foot prints and pocked up greens were the norm on all greens. They punched the putting green late that afternoon and were punching the rest of the greens the next day. No break on the greens fee btw for the conditions. To make matters worse, there were two different groups that feigned poor english as an excuse to show up with more golfers than they booked. The staff did what they could to accomodate them but this backed up the golf course resulting in a five hour round. We won't be back any time soon. I'll give it another shot in the late fall or next spring because it is usually in very good shape and is a fun track.
Maintenance
Fairways were a little roughed up from grounds keeping maintenance, but that also meant that we were one of the few groups on course. Course was still quite playable and fair.
Strange layout
Many holes lookef like they were shoe-horned in... I sm not s fan oh courses where almost every shot is a sidehill or uohill lie... And that was the fairway... Fairly challenging for a publuc track. Yardage markers were not vety acvurate... Not a course if uou like to just bomb it... Mote of a thinking:shot making course. Might br better second time arounf
nice condition
course was in great shape. the greens were a little slower than they looked while the putting green was fast, so you had to make an adjustment quickly. Staff was very friendly.
Hot day good course.
I've played here before. Some of the greens were a bit beat up. When will folks fix their own ball marks and divots?
I would play here anytime especially at Golf Now prices!
Worth the trip
Golf now gem. Better before August. Great staff. Good pace of play. Ckfidisnfndisosnfnekskdnfnenjsks
