Raven's Claw Golf Club
About
Located in Limerick Township, Raven's Claw Golf Club is one of southeastern Pennsylvania's best golf and residential communities. It consistently ranks as one of the state's top 10. Carved from rolling hills and mature woodlands, the layout features a variety of different holes. No two holes are alike but they require some creative shot-making abilities. With tight fairways and undulating greens bordered by mounds of rough, the golf course also demands accuracy. The design incorporates links-style elements that present a formidable test. The golf course is undoubtedly challenging but there are also recovery opportunities on each hole, which makes it less daunting for beginners. One of Raven's Claw Golf Club's most memorable holes is the tricky penultimate hole. This unforgiving par-3 has a double-tiered, undulating green with no bailout areas to the left or right. Golfers that hit it short will face a blind second shot.

Nice
Staff is great! Beer Cart Employee and Bartender were fantastic. I like the layout but it does have a bunch of dog leg par 4's. I prefer to use my driver but couldn't on a majority of the holes based on the layout. That's really the only reason I had to go with a 4 instead of a 5 overall. I'll certainly play it again in the near future
Golf course
Cours always in great shape staff is very friendly club house is great place to hang out after round
Great Course
Everything about this course was exceptional. I love playing here at least once a year. The price is a little high but they take care of the course so the price is worth it.
"Are you Golfnow?"
This course is unfriendly to Golfnow users. We arrived 35 minutes prior to our tee time and were not permitted to check in because "some golfnow people arrive at 11 am for a 2 pm tee time." Three times we were asked, "are you Golfnow?" So, for 35 minutes only one twosome teed off. Then they pared us with 2 other players. Then, a few sets of twosomes teed off behind us and we were slowing them up. Poor course management (spiteful), just because we we from golf now. I've played there before and have received similiar attitude because I booked via golfnow. If the course doesn't like golfnow then they shouldn't associate with them. I can golf elsewhere. Other than that, the course is nice. We did have a fun round.
Expected more
If it was not for the reduced price I would of been more upset playing this course. The course does not come back the clubhouse at all. So you have to ensure you have refreshments with you. I was told they have drink carts but the two I saw where parked on the fairways.
Play was excruciating slow and then on #12 we are going around home owners who are just hitting golf balls into the course and having fun.
Extremely underwhelmed and expected more.
Ravens Claw 6/20/16
Great course. Played Friday evening, teed off around 445 and finished by 830. Great pace of play, greens were rolling true. With all the hazards grown out it makes it much more challenging to keep your ball in play.
Definitely recommend, usually great deals on golf now.
One of the best courses in tri-county area!!
Love playing at Raven's Claw, one of the finest laid out courses!!
Golfing instead of Working
Conditions of the course were outstanding. The greens rolled nicely. Pace of play not an issue. Cart paths are nothing to write home about, but I had to find 1 thing to be negative about on this golf course
Great Staff
The course deserves 4 stars, only if they had real cart paths, aside from that, layout and course itself is very nice and well kept. This particular day I left my 60 on 17, went back and couldn't find it...turns out someone found it and called it in, one of the employees drove out to the person that has it and grabbed it for me, was very thankful! Will be back soon~
Hot
First 90 degree day of he year. Weather was hot and so were the greens. I love the course but this round I was really impressed with the greens. True quick roll. Excellent condition.
The par 5's are all excellent fair challenges , (1 is a great starting hole, 7 great dogleg with huge green, 10 too a great start to back 9). The par 3's are pretty and challenging. 17 and 18 could use a little rework. 17 is just a tad too long for us amateurs. 18 has trees in the middle of the drive that could be removed. But with so many great holes it is hard to kick.
Some shorter holes call for perfect tee shots - 2 and 11 come to mind, other holes are wide open from the tee but challenge you on the second shot (5 and 16).
Enjoy using every club in your bag.
Another nice round
I've played Raven's Claw a few times in the past. Views are beautiful and course is usually in great condition. The one drawback, and I'm not sure what can be done, is that there are flocks of geese on several of the holes and where there are geese, there is a lot of geese droppings....everywhere in the fairway. Also, a few of the par 3's seem unreasonably long. The one was about 215 yds from the whites and almost 240 from the blues? Maybe they are trying to get us ready to watch the US Open. Other than that, its a great course and I will be back I'm sure.
Enjoyable course, lot of risk reward holes
Always enjoy a round at Ravens Claw, not long but always interesting due to layout.
Not bad for the price
Staff was friendly, course layout was pretty nice. Number 3, 6, and 9 were the best holes we played - left after 9 due to slow play.
Cart Path
It was not raining the day we played, however, it was cart path only and the path are in need of repair, lots of holes and extremely bumpy. I will come back when repaired. Thank you.
Rainy Day Golf
Even for a rainy day, the course was fun and the rain kept the crowds away. The many elevation changes led to a fun and challenging morning.
Good value
We were a threesome and they stuck us with a single, which is OK but by the back nine there were twosomes pushing us. The single could have been put with the twosomes for better POP.
Greens were recently aerated but still rolled very well. We were pleasantly surprised. Greens fees were reduced because of aeration, making it a very good deal for a weekend.
And I don't see why the beverage carts at most courses don't stay out past 3-4 o'clock on weekends, or weekdays for that matter. I would think the evening would be a good time to sell beer and snacks.
MORNING RAIN
Thanks to some morning rain the course was not busy for our 2:00 tee time. We could play at our pace which was great for a weekend. The course is challenging and in great shape. It appears that the greens were aerated about a week ago, so they weren't as nice as normal.
Fun round
Maybe it was because I have heard so much about it and was very hyped to play it, but it was just a little disappointing. Course conditions were great but I was expecting near pristine for a $70+ course. That being said it was still incredibly fun with lots of different variations and some nice scenic views too. The back 9 was definitely more difficult. Hole number 11 was my favorite: raised green after a pretty small landing area to hit the tee shot. We played in the afternoon for $45 and it was absolutely worth it.
Awesome course
This course is absolutely beautiful... I have played here several times and it is absolutely worth the money... One of the top courses (public or private) in the region... Would play here everyday if I could
Unique and Fun Course
Raven's Claw is a really unique and fun course. It is very well maintained and has a few extremely memorable holes. It's challenging and there are many ways to play each hole. I really enjoy playing Raven's Claw of the courses nearby. Sometimes they tend to book too many groups on prime spots on the weekend, but it still moves okay.
