another water hazard, another gator (or cayman). Photo submitted by John1768867 on 03/28/2016
I wasn't informed that the course was just aerated. Tee boxes were in rough shape. Greens were very sandy. The course had not drained well from previous nights rain. I've played the course previously, and it's been in much greater shape and I know it will be back to a great course to play.
Course was in bad shape
This course usually plays out nicely and is a fun course to play. Today the course was soaked on every hole and watch out if you hit a puddle with their golf carts as the cart will begin to make a whining sound like the reverse buzzer is on. Swapped out the cart and the next one made the exact same noise. Course is not worth the money and I wish I booked another place. The pace of play was decent and the staff were friendly.
Do bite on the bad ones
Don’t bite on these bad reviews. If I shot a 110 I would be angry too.
Fairways are nice, wide and fluffy... ayyy
Greens rolled nice but were a little patchy
Can’t beat the price for this course with scenery.
Personally haven’t played here since I was 15 so
I played here a few weeks ago. At that time the green fairways and tee boxes were in pretty good shape, I didn't day Great. But today, tee boxes were like a cow pasture. Bare spots everywhere on the fairways. The green were in really good condition. The course appeared not to have been using their irrigation system.
Get for what you pay.
Its summer but tee boxes are beat up. Greens and fairways were okay.. Course is rather ordinary, particularly the front 9. Back 9 is better than front but bottom line at $30, good place to work on fundamentals.
The course was okay. Not in great shape but playable. I showed up at 630 for a 7pm tee time and nobody was there. I couldn’t get balls for the range.
Two to a cart while virus increases
I am 73 and have asthma--not a good combination during this virus. I drove to the course alone but was required to share a cart with my playing friend. They told us the cost of gas was high so not allowing single carts. Unbelievable when Florida and Lee County are on the rise with virus. I would have been willing to pay the high gas cost for an additional cart. This should have been posted on GolfNow---courses following virus standards or not!
I am diabetic and Kevin in the pro shop said it was company policy 2 per cart and if I did not like it there’s the door. He doesn’t get it and until some he knows comes down with covid I doubt he will. I chose to take the door. I play several times a week and courses are encouraging social distancing as opposed to profit like a Kevin. Eagle Ridge has a moral responsibility to players not to force them into paired carts. Profit over lives.
Extremely short course
If you want to feel good about your game play here. Par 5s are reachable in two with a decent drive and an 8 iron. Outside of the fairways were covered in water. Shots that should be okay became drops because they were under puddles. Greens were in decent shape.
Aerated and very wet
I like this course but during rainy season it gets very wet..18th tee was half way to the hole. Course and greens were aerated so that didn't help the conditions, but I understand this needs to be done..
Bang for your buck
This is a tight layout, but the greens were in good shape for being on the cheaper side of golf rounds. Multiple par-4s are drivable for the longer hitters.
Is what it is.
Good for the price. Played on 5/13/20.
Course was in decent shape for how dry it’s been but was surprised by how hard and fast the greens were. Like putting in a Walmart parking lot! No amount of back spin could keep the ball from rolling off the back of the green! Good round for the price though.
