Lots of Potential/Poorly Managed
Eagle Ridge Golf & Tennis Club is a relatively inexpensive public golf course in Fort Myers, FL. The course in general provides ample challenges and an aesthetic layout. (It is difficult to play a round without being in the water at least once.) The course does suffer from extremely poor water drainage and is virtually unplayable during "wet" periods. The course is also poorly managed, especially with respect to maintenance and pace of play. Tee boxes and greens are substandard, and efforts to improve conditions seem to have little effect.
In the summer a 2-person group can easily play all 18 holes in less than 2.5 hours. As the winter season approaches that time increases to 3-3.5 hours, and "in season" (winter) I have played 14 holes in 5.5 hours before being forced off the course due to darkness.
The course exudes "lack of respect" in the way it is maintained AND how many golfers treat it. Aside from rudely playing slow, the greens suffer from numerous ball marks and fairway divots are often not repaired. Overall this review is unfortunate because there is a lot of potential to make this an outstanding golf course. It simply needs some TLC and a lot better supervision.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club
Really enjoyed it. Got out around 3:30 to play as the day cooled off. Course conditions were great. WARNING: THIS COURSE IS HAS WATER EVERYWHERE, lol. Lost some golf balls but overall, loved it. Greens were in great condition. Could be more challenging once you're on the dancefloor but that could've just been pin placement. Ranger rolled up as we were teeing off on 18 and didn't let us finish as it was 7:10 and he requested us be back by 7. Only real recommendation to the club is to not offer 18 hole play after certain times or have the patience to let your customers play one final hole.
All in all, will absolutely play again. I'm new to the area and bang for buck, this hot deal was the best yet.
Eagle Ridge was a nice Golfcourse with a lot of animals and nature.
Great Course for the Money
I hadn't played golf at Eagle Ridge in a while. And I don't understand why. The course is in very good shape, it's a very challenging course, and the staff is very polite. I will be back and I won't wait so long nex time.
Missing aerifaction alert
We like the layout of the course and today it was pretty dry BUT there was NO AERIFICATION ALERT on, although the greens AND fairways had been recently aerificated. This was very disappointing!
Challenging course and you can’t beat the price
The course is fun and challenging. The layout is nice and the staff is great. There is room for improvement on the condition of the greens, fairways and especially the tee boxes. Overall though I will be back.
It gets sloppy easy with any amount of rainfall. I’ve golfed there for location convenience but this is the last time. It’s worth about $25 with cart for its condition.
Absolut fair Valley for the money
End of May, not many Players. Very easy to get a Tee Time.
Course Condition good.
Hole 11 homeowner harassment
First time I’ve been verbally abused by a homeowner on a golf course! Not the way to enjoy a round of golf when homeowners get in your face for being too close to being OB. (2’ in play) A bit hard to concentrate on your swing when you’re being screamed at by a lunatic homeowner. Probably won’t play this course again because of it. The course was in decent shape and challenging.

Great place to play
Really nice course with long, but also short and not easy holes. Lot of fun with water,, sometimes houses and wildlife.
Staff is very frindly, pace was fast with less than 3 hours. Greens and fairways in very good conditions, we can recommend this course.
Nice little track
Great course ...love the wildlife here too. Always see and eagle or osprey fishing always play good golf here.
Good course. The only real gripe with this course is the amount of water. 17/18 holes have water hazards. If you haven’t checked it out it I would recommend doing so to see for yourself. Watch for the gators this time of the year since it is mating season. The staff have always been pleasant. This was my fourth time playing here and I wish I was just a bit better so that I didn’t lose so many balls in the water.
Course short on grass, greens fast, and bumpy. No grain, so hard to make a putt. Too slow and ball moves around, too fast and your four feet past.
Courses that are affordable are in poor condition.
