another water hazard, another gator (or cayman). Photo submitted by John1768867 on 03/28/2016
Good solid course
Course was in good shape. Greens were excellent. Lots of water/ Generous landing areas for drives but approach to greens are a challenge. Difficult green complexes and very fast greens. All the holes are right out in front of you so no surprises. Only downside was pace of play was pretty slow
March 2024
I am on vacation in Florida and carry a 2.2 USGA index and play 100+ rounds a year. The greens at the course were receptive, on a 1-10 scale with 10 being firm with little to no ball mark, these were a 5. Speed of greens were 8-9 and no real big slopes. We were told by the starter that the course is at sea level and would be wet. We found the fairways moist but not wet, little roll out but some. Netted range area, small chipping green and a putting green just off the first tee.
Fairways are great as are tee off areas
Haven’t played much last few years- cost love the ciourse
Good value
The course was in good shape and a good length. The play was slow but not unexpected given the good price.
Perfect like always but they turned the sprinklers on us at 5:00 so we had to speed up so we wouldn’t get wet
Nice Course, lots of water
I was on Spring Break with the family, got the first tee time as a solo. Twosome I got paired up with no showed, so I was solo which was unfortunate as I caught a Men's League on 15 that apparently start on the back 9?
Course was in pretty good shape, lots of water so you have to be accurate. Staff extremely friendly. My only complaint would be the practice facility, basically a large batting cage feel so you can't practice much shots. Nice course, expensive during Spring Break but every course was done there in March.
Eagle Green
Course was in excellent condition but with a late tee time there were no restrooms open , no food or drink available after the round.
good course
The value after 3:00 is fine, It is about a $70 course. Nothing spectacular but good condition
Great value
The tee to green conditions were very good. Drainage is an issue, especially off the fairway. That said, the price is worth the occasional wet issues.
Poor setup
Overall the course is laid out nicely, has a nice bit of challenge to it. They definitely have some drainage issues as there was a lot of standing water throughout after only a light rain, it’s not even rainy season yet! Only other miss was the clubhouse at the turn. Coming off 9, you don’t have an easy stop to grab food drinks or restroom. You have to take a separate trail that goes too far out of the way. We went straight to the 10th tee unknowingly, and then there was a backup because of groups peeling off but other rejoining. Pretty poor design. There was a beer cart out, it she doesn’t carry hot dogs or anything beyond a snicker bar or bag of chips. Back nine felt slow, a lot of waiting but we played in 4 hours and 15 minutes total which is pretty good for heart of snowbird season.
