First Tee Par 3 at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club
About
The First Tee Par-3 Golf Course is one of two courses offered at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club. It is the smaller of the two being only a nine-hole course rather than the 18-hole course that is also at the Club. Although the course is shorter than its championship length sister course, they both share the same amount of challenge to provide an interesting game. The course is perfect for beginners, kids, or anyone wanting a quick but fun game of golf. Undulating greens and trees that serve as bunkers add a bit of difficulty to the course. The holes range from 50 to 150 yards.

Great Course with Fun Layout and beautiful views
This was my first time playing Green Valley Ranch. We had lunch at the restaurant prior to golf. The waiter in the restaurant was ornery, slow and not too helpful at all.
However, once we got to the clubhouse, everything changed for the better. The clubhouse staff was fantastic, friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The course has a great practice are with great driving range with plenty of grass to hit from (i do not like hitting from mats). Huge putting green and chipping area.
One the course, the holes were very fun and varied. The course is a links type course with lots of very long grass off the fairway with lots of bunkers and lots of wind.
The course is very open course with very few trees. The fairways were very nice and in great condition.
The greens were great. The greens were very fast and had tons of slopes and undulations (like a good links type course).
I really liked the layout of the course. This being my first time playing the course, I was very pleased with the directions to holes were well marked and easy to see.
Overall great course. The bunkers were well kept. The wind was blowing hard around 15-20 mph all day long. There were very few trees to block or disrupt the wind. I would highly recommend Green Valley Ranch. Give the course and try and you won't be disappointed.
GVR's Little Secret
I doubt that most players arriving at GVR even know this short course exists. The par 3 course sits just up the hill south of the driving range, hidden from view.
I definitely recommend heading up to this little gem to work on the short game. With holes ranging from 50-140 yards players have plenty of opportunities to hit lots of different wedges. The greens offer multiple undulations that can create some tricky lines, and many putting surfaces are surrounded by bunkers.
A day of practice on this short course beats out time spent on one practice green chipping or putting to the same spots with everyone else.
Get out and hit some full shots on 9 fun holes at one of the best facilities in the Denver area!
Fun Little Par 3
The GVR Par 3 is a fun little 9 hole course. It stretches about 830 yards in total. Longest hole is about 120yds. Always in pretty good shape and a great way to work on your short game.
Great par 3, especially for a warm up for the regulation course
We got to the course early, I was curious & inquired about the par 3 for future days. It turns out that a round on the par 3 is included in the daily green fee. With that extra, we tried it out. Good for a warm-up or tune up especially with the wind up, you could hone in the bump and run or flighted wedges for the short game with varying wind directions. One minor issue was the mostly range balls scattered on the course. On one hole, it was challenging to figure out which was my ball on a wind blown shot. We cleaned up some. Also some folks play multiple balls.
This was a fun bonus.
