Meadow Golf Course at Pole Creek Golf Club
About
There are three par-36, nine-hole courses available at Pole Creek Golf Club in Tabernash, which are played in different 18-hole combinations. It's the only 27-hole public facility in Grand County. The three nines, called the Meadow, the Ridge, and the Ranch, offer Colorado mountain golf at its best. As its name would imply, the Meadow nine sprawls across lush green meadows, beautifully accented with colorful patches of native wildflowers. The gently rolling terrain provides some subtle contours but it's nowhere near as dramatic as the challenging Ridge nine. The Meadow has the occasional water hazard and a few strategically placed bunkers but it and the Ranch nine are the more player-friendly golf courses at Pole Creek. No matter which combination you play, you'll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Great Moutain Golf Experience
Amazing views, beautiful course in excellant shape. Friendly staff. Top notch all the way around.
Mountain View’s for days!!
My favorite mountain course. Three 9’s to choose from. Can’t go wrong!!
Easier The Second Time Around
If playing Pole Creek, you should try to play the Ranch/Ridge nines. Ridge is the best, followed by the Ranch.
Since we were familiar with the course, holes 1 & 3 were much easier to play. The Ranch is a nice course, flat except for holes 1 & 8.
I do not like the small GPS screen on the left pole of the cart. Hard to see with the glare and the small screen. Not sure the yardages were correct either.
If in the Fraser/Granby area - this is the place to play your golf.
Decent Course. Ranch & Ridge Are Better Nines
Pole Creek has 3 nines. The Ridge is the best, followed by the Ranch, then the Meadows.
Pole Creek has a nice a clubhouse and views are beautiful. The Meadows is a decent nine holes and a little tigher than the other two nines.
It had two gimmicky holes. Hole 5 woth a split fairway with a creek in-between, with high bushes. Not a visually pleasant hole. Hole 7 is a double dogleg left. When you stand on the 6th tee, the 7th green is at 4 o'clock. When you stand on the 7th tee, you're not sure where to hit the ball.
The GPS system is mounted on the left pole of the cart. Hard to see with the glare and a very small screen. I thought the yardages were not always correct and when you pointed to a spot to get the yardage, the remining yardage would not even point to the green.
We payed $111 to play the Meadows/Ranch on a Friday. On the holiday, we played Ranch/Ridge for $97. The prcing seemed strange.
Some of the Most Scenic Holes You Will Play
If you are in the Fraser/Granby area, this is the course to play. Pole Creek has 3 nines. Ridge is the best, followed by the Ranch and then the Meadows.
This nine has some of the most scenic holes you will ever play. You do have two uphill holes to get you to the higher elevations. 1 and 3. Hole 8 is a blind shot but you are at the highest point of the course - 8,812 feet above see level.
This nine is a must play.
Just beautiful.
Wonderful course. People were awesome and the course in great shape. Only problem is that no breakfast served. Staffing.
Nice Course, The 2nd Best Nine at Pole Creek
Ranch ninie is the second best nine of the three. Relatively flat, except for holes 1 & 8. It is pretty course with the mountains in the background. Love the bunkering of all the Pole Creek courses, nicely edged. The par 3, 2nd hole is a great par 3.
Playing the course for the first time, holes 1 & 3 are difficult. Especially, since the GPS system was not working. Hole 1 is an uphill par 5, double dogleg to the right. Not sure where to hit your 2nd shot.
Hole 3 is a 90-degree dogleg left, that is uphill. You cannot see the fairway going up towards the green, They tell you to aim at the restroom. Visually, a tough hole.
Annoyed
Pro shop seemed a little annoyed that we booked through golfnow
Beautiful views for days!
Probably the most beautiful golf course I’ve ever played!
3 World Class Nine Hole Courses
Pole Creek Golf Course is a must if you find yourself in the area. The greens are perfection and all 27 holes include some incredible views of snow covered peaks. Very helpful staff and the food from the Bistro is affordable and delicious. This course is worth every penny and shines in an area full of great mountain courses.
Beautiful Course
The course was in phenomenal condition (especially the greens) and the scenery is beautiful. A good mix of easy to moderately challenging holes. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
A Mountain Gem
We played the Meadows and Ridge nines, and cannot wait to return to check the Ranch nine holes. The course was in great shape and well manicured for springtime.
The entire staff was super friendly and hospitable, and the meal afterward in Bistro 28 was fabulous!
We will be back!
Great Mountain Course
2:45, using a cart, was truly nice. Intermittent rain did not inhibit play at all. It can be brutal to play from the woods, requiring concentration to stay in play. Greens were slow, but consistent and birdieable. Meadow hole 7 continues to beat up me; I’ll be back often to try again.
Good early season round
We were pleasantly surprised to see Pole Creek offered as a hot deal, it was too hard to pass up. We found out that the course had just opened ~a week ago. The folks were super friendly. They did tell us that given the rate, the 9s were set - Meadows & Ranch. Still, all 3 are good. The fairways were in excellent condition. The greens didn't suffer from the winter ice. Nice! They were still healing a bit from aeration. There is one hole - #6 on Ranch where Garmin GPS indicates there is more room before the water...check it carefully before teeing off. The day turned out to be stellar. We enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed a dinner at the restaurant afterwards. Thanks!
Beautiful course
Casual pace of play. Beatiful course and challenging. Amenties were excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Pro shop
I’ve played this course several times, the weather turned inclement to heavy winds and rain. We went to pro shop to ask if they would offer a rain check since we only played 5 holes. We were told they don’t make any profit from golf now and we could either wait it out or leave and contact golf now. For a course of this magnitude I was a bit taken back and disappointed by the gentlemen’s answer. Not sure if I would spend my money again there.
