Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Outstanding Golf and Service - People/staff on and off course 5 stars
Outstanding Experience.
Course was in great shape, the layout is definitely a challenge, the only flat lie is in the club house!
5 Stars for the people encountered:
the entire staff, all welcoming, friendly and professional, from Check-in, starter, beverage and restaurant staff. The main reason to recommending to others.
Hot and Hilly
Played at 2:00pm on a really hot Sunday. The heat scared the masses away. The staff is friendly from pro shop to bag guy and cart girl. We never saw another group on the course except a twosome that stayed about a hole behind us. Played in 3:45 which isn’t bad for Morgan Hill. Lots of blind shots add to ball searches. Overall the tees, greens, fairway and rough were in decent shape. Course is very brown due to lack of rain. Course was hard and firm but greens were receptive. A good number of blind tee shots makes it difficult for those who haven’t played it before. The elevations make club selection a challenge. For example 210 yard 12th hole par 3 is 140’ down hill and plays to about 170 to the middle. 16th par 4 is about 50’ uphill making this 400 yard hole play about 440. Greens have a lot of undulation that should be reduced. Mowers scalped a few greens and with the heat wave, this creates bare spots. Bunkers are in need of a restoration. Some are thin and mostly dirt. This is a difficult course with lots of hills and uneven lies. Not for the beginner. I’m a 7 handicap, par is 71 and I rarely break 80 here. There are blowup holes around every corner. Not a course for a novice golfer. You’ll lose a lot of balls and won’t have fun. Some really spectacular views especially 16 green which overlooks Easton and 17 tee which plays about 100’ downhill with views of the Delaware in the distance. Morgan Hill is not the type of course you’d want to play everyday. It beats you up, even in a cart. It’s a good test of golf and I like to play it 4-5 time a year. If you want to see where you game is at, give it a try. We played it from the green teens which measures about 6450 but plays a lot longer due to the hills. The slope at 129 is too low. Should be at least 135 IMO.
Very challenging course. Everything is on a slope, tons of blind shots. Tricky greens. Deep bunkers. Well maintained, greens soft despite drought. Friendly staff.
Challenging Beauty!
What a beautiful golf course! This was my first time playing Morgan Hill and I found myself awestruck by the beauty of the course and surrounding flora, fauna and wildlife, while at the same time challenged by the course layout -- constantly wondering where to hit the next ball in a safe place. The elevation changes and complex greens also provided a next level challenge. Can't wait to get back and play it again!
Who knows where your ball ends up
This course will provide with challenges that can be overwhelming. Many mounds in the fairways causes your tee shots to roll so never stop looking for your ball.
Wish it wasn’t so far away
I would play this course more often but it’s a 75 minute drive and then when you get there- no driving range. Other than that I like the layout of this course a lot. And it was in good condition. The greens are a little confounding as they tend to be slow and bring the ball to a screeching halt. Hard to get used to
Course conditions - below average - greens were spongy with a few holes the greens were damaged.
Sand traps need a ton of work and need attention
Fairways were burnt.
The course is challenging with the up/down layout, unforgiving rough, ball above and below your feet on most shots.
Small putting green to warmup, no range.
Beautiful course!
I played this course for the first time and I loved it.
Whole course was in a perfect condition and full of challenges with its layouts. Staffs were very kind and literally nothing to complain. It’s pretty far from NYC where I am living, but I will definitely come again whenever I have chance to come to this area. Only thing I want to mention is its hills are very steep, so should be very careful with cart driving, especially in a wet weather.
Great Golf Course, Go Play It!
I love this course, it is my favorite course within an hour of my home. I try to get there at least a few times a year, spring, summer and fall. It is always beautiful especially in the fall. However, it is very difficult. Do not go expecting to shoot you lowest score ever. Just enjoy the scenery and don't worry to much about your score. This time the course was in perfect condition, the weather was perfect and the staff was extremely friendly. Also, the food and view from the club house are excellent. Overall a great golfing experience, I can not recommend it enough.
Starter
Before even starting the round we ran into the starter to get our cart and was extremely rude and was very confused with multiple groups saying I can’t figure this dumb technology and can’t let anyone move until it’s your tee time. Mind you that would be fine if there was no group on the first green and we had to stay and wait in the cart until our playing partners showed. Of course they did not so we wasted probably 30 min while more and more people become upset at the situation when all you need to do is use common sense. If there is no one even on the first green why are we holding up people that are in time.
Fun and challenging
Blind shots, elevation, great layout.
So fun and challenging. Have to use your whole game
Fun course
Great layout with some challenging holes. Cool elevated 3 pars.. Some nice blind shot holes, but not too crazy. Very fair if you make your shots.
Great shape, challenging course
This course is always in excellent shape will challenge all your shot making ability. Love playing here
Best shape I have seen.
I play Morgan hill a lot. It is in the best shape I have ever seen. This course gets a bad reputation because of all the blind shots and elevation change. If you get to know it I think it’s one of the most fun tracks out there.
Great day at Morgan Hill
Tough but nice course. Some challenging lies off the hillsides. Well maintained, staff was friendly. A high recommend.
Fantastic course
Challenging course with friendly staff. I would play here more if it was nearer.
