Great time at a very nice course
My son and I enjoyed a round of golf at Mountain View. We were supposed to tee off at 12:36, but were able to tee off around 25 minutes early. We played in a little over 3 hours without rushing. The course is in great shape despite the heat and dry weather. The workers at the course could not have been more friendly.
very well maintained
course is flat with no horrible stances. It is a very playable course with no trick holes. Greens are wonderful to putt on, smooth and quick. Everything is cut perfect. This was a very enjoyable day.
Very Nice
Nice rural setting. Lots of rain the night before so the course played longer than it is. Greens were fantastic! Smooth and relatively fast with a lot of undulations . I would go here again and again
Enjoyable course
Enjoyable layout in good condition. Will play again.
great course
Course in absolute great shape. Fairways are beautiful and easy to hit off of. Greens are running fast, but true roll. Would replay this course any time.
Good deal.
The price was great and the coarse was in good condition. We plan to play again.
Course & Staff Topnotch
In spite of all the rain recently the course was in great shape. Cart path only on just one hole (#10)
Check-in person and starter/ranger always polite and courteous.
Wife and I love playing the course. She usually beats me.
good course great value
The weather cleared up and I was bored so I found a great deal for $15 plus fee. Problem was it was an hour drive for me, but I like to try different courses...would it be worth the drive? I was expecting a very hilly course given it's location and name, however, I was pleasantly surprised to find a very level track with no blind shots, what you see is what you get. The course was in very good condition, tee boxes were in good shape, greens were smooth and fast, fairways were in very good shape (but were probably due to be mowed), and the rough was cut moderately short which made finding and hitting balls easy. Bunkers were in very good condition, well raked, full of sand and no weeds. The clubhouse is a restored farmhouse with a really nice outdoor bar and grill. So here's the verdict: if you want a really challenging layout this is not your course, but if you're like me and you want to enjoy the game without spending the day looking for your ball and playing massively long par 4's this is the place. The staff was very friendly, two thumbs up! PS this would be a super nice course to walk, very few long walks to the tees!.
Very nice course
This course is in great condition.
Greens .....very good
Sand traps....... raked and full of fresh sand
fairways....... very good
Just enough water hazards on course to make it fun.
It is not a hard course, very playable. The conditions are just as good as many courses in the area charging much more. Its a great value. Book a tee time !!!!
Great staff
We love playing at Mountain View!!! The staff are awesome!!!!
Golf in the Winter
course was in nice shape. started the day in the sun, mid 40's, was able to jump a couple of slower groups. hand warmers, not cutting it. Started to sleet around the 13th hole. Wet conditions from lots of rain in the prior days, but not a lot of standing water, no cart restrictions. Glad I got out, but pretty cold.
nice course; great driving range
Nice grass driving range. Pace if play a bit slow, but it was a holiday. I played the course 18 years ago. It's much better now. I'll be back again.
Great course, great value
I have played this course for over a decade and the course and the staff continue to improve. Sometimes it takes one person to change the experience and that has occurred at this course. Dave in the pro shop puts our agenda first and understands we've paid to enjoy a round of golf. The greens, the course layout, the staff...all deserve accolades. I would become a member if I lived closer.
Worth the Drive
The course was in excellent shape and very challenging from open fairways to challenging narrow approaches that make you think about club selection.
great greens
from Baltimore play at least twice a year staff are the most friendly I have ever encountered at any golf course
Great Course & value
The course is in great shape. The only thing was the tee boxes. Some of them were not flat and it was difficult to find a good area to tee off from that was not above or below your feet. The course overall is in excellent condition. Looking forward to going back.
Great challenge
The course is not easy. A lot of open area, but tons of trouble. Greens are in great shape. Fairways are plush. Bunkers need work, but we're wet after a huge rain.
Solid course
Clubhouse staff and ranger are friendly people. The course itself is in decent condition however there are a few places on greens and fairways missing patches of grass. The pace of play was great. Parking lot was full of cars but we didn't have any wait time until hole 15 and that was very minimal. Rounded took roughly 3.5 hours. My one complaint was the lack of drinking water on the course. 90+ degrees in August and all of the coolers were either empty or just flat out missing. Not a huge deal but it wasn't ideal. Would definitely recommend others to play here.
Nice Course
Went out as a single and did not run into another group until the back nine. The course was in very good condition and was challenging enough to make it a good round. I would recommend this course to others.
Nice course but pace of play slow
No marshal on course and it took 3 hours to play 9 and I gave up on the back after taking almost 30 min per hole with wIting....
