Average at best
Been two years since I've played, and honestly this will likely be the last time. This used to be my 2nd favorite course in the area behind Turtle Creek. Today was just average at best. Pace on the back nine was not good and turned to be almost a 5 hour round (with a start time of 2;00!). Ranger camped out out the island par 3 instead of keeping others at pace. Many tees were also very close to the blues, which I didn't understand. Greens were great, but some of the fairways were really beat up. Also 90* rule when it hasn't rained in days! Come on!
Not worth the value
For $80.00 I would say this course is was over valued. The conditions of the tee boxes were horrible all mud and it seems no one tends to the tee. Littered with divots over every inch of the box. Besides the tee boxes pace of play was horrible took 3.5hours to play 12 holes. My group and I finally had enough after 12 and just left and called it quits.
All around a great time!
First time at Bella, great condition from start to finish. Very friendly staff, awesome yardage touchscreen on every cart as well. Course layout is not too difficult, shot my avergage of 92; a lot of tough bunkers though. Overall a fun course to play, a nice establishment with respectable patrons. Definitely give a recommendation to anyone!!
Terrible pace of play
Conditions and layout of the course were excellent but the experience was tainted by poor pace of play. 5.5 hours for a late Sunday afternoon round is not good. The starter stated that there would be rangers keeping pace of play, but we did not see anyone enforcing pace at all. This course has the luxury of a GPS on the golf cart - but it also keeps time on the holes and we exceeded the recommended time by more than 1.5 hours by the end of it.
Really nice fairways and greens
Super nice course, fairways and greens are the best around in my opinion. Bunkers were all swimming pools but it did just rain the night before.
Challenging Course
I played here with my group on a recent Saturday afternoon. The course gets a lot of play, especially on weekends. We had to wait an extra 15 to 20 minutes just to get golf carts. No fault of the management, but it did delay our start for a while. The course is in excellent shape overall. Most tee boxes and fairways were fine. Greens were in very good shape and appear to be well-maintained. Some bunkers still had puddles of water but most were overall in decent shape.
There is a diverse array of challenging holes with varying terrains. On Course water would’ve been helpful on a very hot day. The cart I had was rundown and difficult to steer. However, Overall, a great experience and I would definitely return.
One if the better courses
Course has many incline and decline shots. Then add a ponds, junk, and bunkers. Will play again
Bunkers are a joke!
It’s really hard this time of year to mess up course conditions but I have to say for what they charge the bunkers are not up to par. Pace of play was fine. I would probably play here again but would have to get a deal.
Pace of play
Course is great worth the money BUT I wish the Rangers and staff would have spread out the huge outing that was in front of us. Normal round should be around 4 hours we ended up finishing close to 5 and 1/2 hours. We passed the Ranger mid round and he never said anything to us about either skipping hole to move quicker. The temp was in high 80’s and there weren’t any water stations to cool the players down.
