The executive-length course at the Adobe Dam Family Golf Center is mostly made up of par 3s and par 4s but there is one par 5. The golf course is suitable for beginners but it is also great for more advanced players who want to work on their short game. The course has small greens typical of older, traditional courses and they require accurate shotmaking. The last two holes are the most difficult. The Adobe Family Golf Center is also home to the Phoenix Golf School. There are also practice facilities including a lighted driving range with 50 all grass hitting stations, a pitching green that has bunkering, and a putting green.

Good practice course
Lets say your getting ready to play a round of golf with your buddies and you have not played in a while . You don't want laughter to drown out the sound of the birds on the tee box so you go here first .
Most of the people that show up here are not pros and don't belong to clubs. Let's face they are hackers like you and take a small bucket full of muligans on every hole. You shoot about a 40 on 9 holes here and feel good about it. The course conditions are below average and there is no cart girl in hot pants selling you six dollar bud lights. The prarie dogs are your only company if you play as a single.
The course wasn't bad.
The greens had been punched and were really slow! my biggest complaint, however, were the mosquitoes!! I'm a Phoenix native and I've never seen so many mosquitoes in my life! I talked to a couple of other golfers on the course, and they were offered repellant. I wasn't offered and also the mosquitoes were not even mentioned...
Get what you pay for
I played this course for cheaper than a bucket of balls, but you get what you pay for. The summer heat has taken its toll on some fairways and greens. Overall its still a good place to practice your short game for a cheap rate.
Horrible conditions
The driving range was almost pure dirt and dead grass, poorly maintained and expensive for balls. The course was riddled with holes, and there were a couple par 3's that were less than 100 yards making this a quick course. Small greens made of turf. We paid $14 per person to golf this. (Not even worth it on a phoenix summer day.) I can say I won't be back as even $14 was a complete rip off.
Bad condition. Good beginner course.
This is a short beginners course. No one expects you to be good. The fairways and greens were in poor condition. A better golfer can still play here if they want to practice their short game (tee to green.)
Course was not in very good shape, but it was easy to get around it in a short time
It was a good course to play by myself- I hit two balls on each hole and played both of them all the way around the course. It was good for working on my short game and nobody was pushing me and I was not pushing anybody in front of me to play faster. The price was right!
Great for beginners
The bunkers have some weeds growing in them. Other than that the course is acceptable. I am just learning the game with a couple of my kids. So far this is a great place to go to do that. The course is quiet, the range is inexpensive, there is a putting green and chipping green. If you are learning or have kids that want to play; this place is great. I have been very happy. The staff is very friendly too.
This course is great for short game practice.
The greens were is good shape, fairways were average, bunkers needed work. Staff was friendly. Play was fast as course not crowded.
Grass to long, fairway's full of holes and very rough, greens very small
The price was ok, but better course's in the valley at the same price. Not maintained very well. Twisted my ankle while walking down the fairway. (Large hole)
Great value and good for families!
For about the same price you pay for a bucket of balls, you can do 9 holes. Though an executive course, it stil offers a par 5 and two par 4's so you can use every club in the bag. Yes, it's a little rough around the edges, so stay on the fairway! Great course to work out the kinks w/o the pressure. Great for kids since on the longer holes they do have kids tee boxes. Staff was cordial, it's no frills but it's fun.
Range, Chipping & Putting area is great. The course is being improved on.
For players that want short game, irons selection only. Has that country pasture for fairways, small greens for precise accuracy shots. Good for practice instead of range tees that helps promote confidence when playing a full yardage course. Depending on time of day, weather, the day itself expect to be longer finish times. Best suited for beginners or casual golfers working on their game. not for serious golfers.
Good Value
This course may not be the best looking but is a great practice course with fun holes.
poor shape
It's like playing 9 holes out of the rough. Because of this it can be very challenging.
good practice course
I played this course with little expectation. I came away with a good practice round of golf in about an hour. I used my driver 3 times but it is a primarily a wedge and putter layout. It's more fun than hitting a bucket of balls.....
This is a great course for beginners. Couple of long holes and lots of irons.
Many improvements have been made over the last two years. It still needs more but if you want a place to start I highly recommend it. The chipping practice area is great. The driving range is also great. The price cannot be beaten. I take my wife out to learn and I still enjoy it as a ten handicapper.
It a small 9 hole course with a nice Par 5 in the middle. If you have a nasty slice, be careful on a few of the tee offs, these are short holes.
Its a very good beginners course so you can get used to using the different clubs and work on your short game. They have a chipping and putting green along with the driving range. It took about 1.5 hours to play the 9, walking. All around good practice course.
Great Value
A great place to practice. Its a quick course so you can walk the 9 without rearranging the day.
One of the worst courses I've ever played
I don't have anything good at all to say about this course. It needs a ton of work. There are burrowing creature holes all over the place. I twisted my ankle stepping in one, and I lost at least two balls that presumably found these holes never to be seen again. It's also easy to get lost because the layout is somewhat skewed. I would say that if you know someone who is interested in learning to play golf, this is an excellent place to start. But I've played a lot of golf courses in my life, and this one ranks number two on my list of the worst.
Nice small course to work your game on a busy schedule.
Adobe is a neighborhood course, a place to get nine holes and a play again time permitting. A place to work your game or bring a child or beginner to introduce others to the game. All ablities use the range, practice facilities and will not stand out as a problem. A family facility.
