Trappers Turn Golf Club - Canyon/Arbor
About
The 27 holes of championship golf at Trappers Golf Club are spread across the rolling countryside of Wisconsin Dells, a landscape that was carved by glaciers thousands of years ago. The terrain provided an incredible canvas for course designers Andy North and Roger Packard to work with. They first designed 18 holes, the Canyon and Lake nines and then added the Arbor nine in 2000. The golf courses can be played as three different 18-hole combinations. The Canyon/Arbor Course combines the old and the new. The Canyon is home to Trappers Turn's signature hole, the par-3 seventh, which has an extreme drop in elevation into a small green that sits amidst a glacier-formed canyon but it is not as intimidating a hole as it seems. The scenery continues onto the Arbor nine, which borders the Rocky Arbor State Park.

Overpriced for the lack of detail
Incredibly disappointing to pay over $80 and the bunkers are not raked. Played at 7:05am so traps should've been fresh, however footprints from the previous day were evident. Also, the grass hitting in the range is full of weeds. I've played this course multiple times and it's evident the lack of detail the are putting into this course.
Slightly disappointing
The first impression around the clubhouse was great. However, I found several disappointing things on the course. Very few of the pitch marks are repaired and many of the tees were completely chewed up!
Very Fun Course
Very fun course to play and in very good shape. Pace on the second 9 was very slow. We were following a foursome of younger people that were very slow. Overall the course was beautiful with very scenic holes. Would play again for sure.
Fantastic Experience
Every aspect of Trappers Turn is a master class in how a truly great course is ran. From the helpful staff to the course conditions not a blemish on the card. Id highly recommended everyone experience this wonderful course.
Amazing course with one glitch
Well kept course with great service. Had a great round with my son. Started off on time but was surprised to see an "eightsome" was allowed to be on the course in front of us for the last 3 holes. Slowed us down just a bit so it certainly didn't ruin the day but was surprised that it was allowed.
Do Not Recommend
Only one person running the golf shop register. Almost late for my tee time and was then feeling rushed to hit some balls and putt before my round. This was then followed by no rangers at all monitoring pace of play or letting people play through. Two people took 4.5hrs to play and they weren’t that busy there was plenty of times we could play through and groups wouldn’t let us. Contacted clubhouse and nothing came of it. Better off going to Wild Rock where they take care of their guests.
First Time Here! Will Be Back!
Course has a way to go yet but its early as evidenced by blizzard 3 days later. But the layout is great. Played Canyon/Arbor and even tho only second time out for quite a while we finished in under 4 hrs.
The Restaurant was an unexpected pleasure! Best salad bar in WI so far. The prime rib was perfect and my chicken piccata was fantastic! Will be back soon. Service was excellent too!
Great Course, Better Course Management Needed
Outstanding layout, beautiful course, really fun putting course too!
However, this course allows people to play in groups of more than four. There were both groups of five and eight in front of us on the course and nothing was done.
The driving range and practice facility was really a let down also, mats only and the chipping green wasn’t even cut.
Garbage all over the course also.
A lot of potential here but very simple yet heavily missed things would make me spend ten bucks more elsewhere in the area if I had to make a choice.
Tee boxes were really beat up. Greens rolled nice but still effects of aerating.
