Trappers Turn Golf Club - Canyon/Arbor
About
The 27 holes of championship golf at Trappers Golf Club are spread across the rolling countryside of Wisconsin Dells, a landscape that was carved by glaciers thousands of years ago. The terrain provided an incredible canvas for course designers Andy North and Roger Packard to work with. They first designed 18 holes, the Canyon and Lake nines and then added the Arbor nine in 2000. The golf courses can be played as three different 18-hole combinations. The Canyon/Arbor Course combines the old and the new. The Canyon is home to Trappers Turn's signature hole, the par-3 seventh, which has an extreme drop in elevation into a small green that sits amidst a glacier-formed canyon but it is not as intimidating a hole as it seems. The scenery continues onto the Arbor nine, which borders the Rocky Arbor State Park.

Very Well Designed Course
This course is very well designed and maintained.
The Fairways are beautiful, so keep it in the fairway if you want to score well. Just the right amount of challenge for the average to good golfer. Beautiful surroundings and great staff.
Solid layout, greens need attention
I really enjoyed the course, and it was a great value. The approaches allowed for imagination, and the tees shots were a great challenge. As for every course, they punch the greens late in the year, but these greens had an excessive amount of sand on them after punching them. I found sand in every pocket and article of clothing, so much so that it was the running joke in the foursom. I would really like to play this course next year when this wouldn't be an issue, because the clubhouse, layout, and affordability are great.
Classy course, very beautiful.
From the front gate to the GPS electric golf carts, to the great
practice area, to the first tee on the Canyon course this course is a must play. We felt like what it is like to play a classy course.
The first tee on the Canyon course is a beautiful downhill soft dogleg right with a small landing area. Every hole was treat to the eyes, with the awesome fall colors. The course was in great condition, would return anytime. We were taking photos
of each other near the front gate, when one of the staff (I did not get his name, sorry) stopped his car offered to photograph us together. very nice thing for him to take time to do. Thank you.
Beautiful course, great weather, enjoyed ourselfs very much.
T boxes and fairway were excellent. Pro shop execellent.
Tee boxes were in excellent shape, greens were great and fairways were super. Nice GPS and Electric carts.
Great Course
Course was in fantastic shape. Enjoyed the whole round. The pace of play was fine. Our group was slow, not the overall pace of play. One of our guys played very slow and it slows the whole group.
Enjoyable course....not quite as good of condition as in past years.
Play Trappers on annual basis. Fun/fair layout. Course a little bit rough compared to other years. Multiple greens had bad spots (#2 Arbor in very tough shape). Few bad spots in fairways as well. Very playable....but not quite as polished as in past years. Will certainly return.
The greens are in terrible condition.
I want to thank GolfNow for saving me $25.00 over the Trapper's Turn website rate. For a highly rated and expensive course, the greens were terrible. 16 out of 18 were burned around the edges. Several times I had to move my ball so it was on some grass. Depending on who you talked to in the clubhouse, you got different reasons. I am not in a hurry to play there again when there are less expensive courses in better shape in the area.
Good course but a little pricey
The $61 wasn't necessary for this course. The course was very nice, but some of the greens were burned out. The design was creative and the course was fair for most shots. But this is a good $45-50 course.
You will be challenged
Pick your tee box to agree with your skill. Long hitter...go to the back.
Otherwise, white or blue is fine. Most greens guarded. Stay on the fairway and you will have a terrific game. Stray and you will be frustrated!
great course
enjoyed the course, fairways and greens in fantastic shape, challenging course and fun, enjoyed it a lot. one of the better courses in wisc dels area
Excellent course
Very clean and friendly. Excellent golf course challanging but very fun!
Good course, played canyon and arbor. Greens recently spiked.
Good course requires multiple shots choices. Played from the blue which listed at 6,400 yds. Nice to have range balls included. GPS on carts which is always nice.
nice elevation changes, and interesting attractive holes
First cut rough a little tall,(i understand, cause of concerns of water). Greens fats and true. Play a little slow for middle of the week. I will go back again. Over all, it's a great course.
Visually beautiful; challenging on every level.
Beautifully designed and visually attractive. Course was well-maintained except for one small area of ground under repair on one hole on the Canyon Course.
Look forward to playing it again!
Very well maintained
Playing Trappers Turn at this time of the year (fall) is a beautiful adventure. The fall colors were great and the course was in great shape.
Trappers Turn
