West End Golf Course

This is basically my home course, and so I play it several times a week. It can be a real challenge if you do not have good shot placement. Trees are a factor in nearly every hole. The course is deceptively challenging. For example, the second hole is a fairly short par 3. It looks just like it is just in front of you, and that you should be able to plop it on the green for an easy par, or even birdie. But then you realize you have an optical illusion. Huge trees on the right, and a grove of trees on the left mask the fact you are actually offset. Even with careful shot placement, you will more than likely end up in the trees ... it is like this for all 18 holes. The course is recovering from the hurricane, and the greens are coming along really well. The fairways are coming back after the hot summer, and the rough is not quite so rough any more. Great value for the money.

Right from the start used the rest room dirty and no paper towels told girl at desk he reply yep we are out in both restrooms. That may have been best part of round. Hit some balls on mats that were totally torn up. They were in better shape than course. Tee boxes dirt and weeds. Greens sand dirt and weeds. I’m sure this course will close soon or hopefully get sold

Green we’re all sand and sprinklers continued spraying greens when I tried to put. Left my ball. Was there really a need to water the sand?

This course is not really a course not a whole lot of grass on the greens and according to locals place is just waiting to sell so please dont waste your money I quit after 2 holes

Always enjoy playing at Westend. The staff is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I’m a terrible golfer, so I don’t like to pay a lot to play badly.

Staff was super nice and friendly. The course however was a disaster. The first hole tee box was like hitting out of a litter box. It got better throughout, but the course proved why it was heavily discounted. No par 5’s as well, good practice for your short game. Awesome staff, horrible course.

We have played this Course several times this past month (March) For casual golfers like my husband and I, it is a perfect spot! Weather was wonderful, pace of play "play on ..." and the staff could not be nicer! No doubt a really serious golfer would find some things to complain about - such as some bare spots on the fairways or better conditions for a few of the greens - BUT Winter has just past, and that happens (to some degree at least!) in Florida as well So, get out there and enjoy this Course! God willing, we will be back next March!

We are just casual golfers and generally play "best ball." This was our first round since last Fall (being from Nova Scotia, Canada, Since it was/is a "cold" day by local standards, we basically were able to enjoy a private course - no one in front or back! What better way to start our play for the next few weeks! Thanks, West End Golf Club!

This could be a wonderful course for the average golfer, a good place to hone your skills. But ,to the owners, you got to put some money into the course! The only reason I play here is I'm not that good and I don't like to be rushed. You really don't have to worry about that here!! I went there today and there was only 4 cars in the parking lot. How the heck the owners can afford to keep this place open is beyond me. The only reason I'm recommending this course is it's cheap and nearly always almost empty.

Terrible condition, tee boxes dirt and weeds, greens spotty and bumpy. I was about 2 quit, when I came across a 6some. Jump to the back 9, no crowds there. West end has a driving range and at a glance, nets were down, place has just gone in the toilet. Was not worth the $10, i paid. May be the worst course I've ever played. I'm not local so hopefully things will improve during the summer

The greens are getting better. The tee boxes are also improving but still needs to be flatter.

Trying to keep this short but...
I’ve been playing this course for 24 years. Seen the conditions go up and down several times and this time is one of the lows.
The staff was friendly and the bunkers were in great shape but I can’t say much else for the rest of the course. The greens are terrible and dry; not a single true putt opportunity. The tee boxes are in poor shape. The pace of play wasn’t bad because there weren’t more than 6 groups within eyesight on the entire course.
For the money it is still not worth it, maybe $12 per 18.
This is a low time for the course and in a few years they will either be bought out or put some money back into it to keep the area golfers interest.

The course condition is really bad. The fairways and greens had than grass making it a miserable experience. The driving range is outdated and run down. One of the worst courses I have ever played, will not be going back

I arrived before tee time and was told briskly We Don''t accept tee times by the rude, boisterous desk manager.
I went to the first hole behind two men in a golf cart and waited a half hour for them to finish one hole.
The second hole was the same. One of the men had a cane that he was using to walk and the other played ten yards with each stroke. Neither, waved me on to "play through". After three holes and one and a half hours, I went into the clubhouse to complain and was told "We don't give rain checks unless there is rain" rudely.
I had to leave the course because if I played behind the two men in front of me it would take four and a half hours to complete nine holes and I paid for 18 holes. I will think twice about going there again. OH. and the greens were like concrete. !

The course is kept very goo, the only thing bad were the greens. It was very difficult to put for the lack of coverage of the holes.

Worst condition course I have ever played.No grass in the fairways or rough just weeds.Greens had many spots that were just dirt no grass.Never Again!

The course is in terrible shape and not worth the time or the money to play. There are 6 par threes on the front and 6 on the back. More like an executive course. Needs a lot of work!!
