For the time of year this was in super condition. Layout of the course is unreal and the scenery is stunning. Played all the top courses of the country and this is up there easily.
The walk and the greens
Great course but oh my god what a walk. There are huge amounts of hills to these 18 holes so a buggy is a good idea.
The holes were great well thought out and a challenge.
The approach to every green presents a challenge. The greens themselves (on the day I visited) were a bit patchy and could have been better. But it’s a great course and truly can be set up for any skill level
Great test
In my opinion it’s easily in the top 5 park land courses in Ulster great condition and layout it’s a gem so play it selection off tees for different abilities
Excellent Championship course
If your looking for a course that is playing as normal in winter, Concra is a great choice. Many of the other courses we called were on temporary greens or playing off fairway mats. The Championship course is one of the best in Ulster. Very scenic & challenging. My only issue was that the bunkers were not raked, making it tough of the flat surface. Otherwise an amazing course & at a great price. Food in Clubhouse was top notch with views to match. Highly recommend for a great day out..
Stunning views and layout.
If you enjoy this golf course you should check your pulse.
concra wood
Course was outstanding but had some sand on the fairways, i no this has to be done but just a bit unfortunate that i was playing at this time, still rate the course 5*, will b back many times.
Fabulous course
Played this course on 14/05/2018 and I have to say it's probably one of the best courses I've Played, it's got everything to suit all types of player, loved the design and considering the weather we've had over the past months it was in great condition, will definitely be back...
Thanks golyball for your comment, the course is only going to get better in the coming months! We look forward to welcoming you back!
Superb
It rained quite a lot but this course is superbly challenging and the views are absolutely brilliant. Great feed after also.
Lovely course even when wet and windy!
I played Concra Wood on the first day it had been open for about a week. The course was very wet underfoot and it was a windy day but I was impressed.
The greens were in great condition even for February and for the amount of rain / snow / frost that had been about for the last few days.
I can imagine that on a calm, sunny day the course would be visually stunning. When I played it was windy and a bit overcast. The course will punish loose driving but would reward straight hitters and bold players.
The holes near the water are great, the water is definitely in play if you're wild but there's enough room to be a bit loose without ending up wet.
The course is well worth the trip and with a 'Hot Deal' price it's an absolute bargain.
Thanks andydowney for your comment, the course is only going to get better in the coming months! We look forward to welcoming you back!
Bit of a hidden gem
Never heard of this course before a friend told me about it. The course is excellent, and in good condition when we played it with the greens in excellent condition. Bunkers suffered from the heavy rain the day before but you could tell they would normally be very good.
Location is fantastic, with the course making very good use of the Lough with many hole along the water. This is a challenging course and if your driving is off you will lose balls, if you don't hit the fairway there is not much room before you are either in water or scrub land.
Course is long with plenty of hills between tees and on some holes, so think twice if going to carry a bag.
Course has a very nice club house for after round food and drink and also a good practise facilities to use before teeing off.
Concra is similar to Lough Erne, but better value and a slightly better layout.
Great course
Heard many of my friends raving about this course, so I had to check it out for myself. I wasn't disappointed. Great test of golf and a great variety of holes. This course would hold its own against any of Ireland's parkland courses. I'll definitely be back.
