Nice Course
The course is in good shape. Hole #4 a par 5 is closed due to some construction so White #9, which is usually a member practice hole and a par 4 is substituted. The greens were slow due to the froggy grass conditions on them.
Very Poorly Maintained
Very disappointing. Old tired course. Fairways are sparse and filled with weeds. Bunkers are dirt. Cart paths are rough and dangerous. Greens are in winter to summer transition and are very slow. The gasoline powered cart had damage to the body and torn seat. Our group will not play this course again.
Greens in great shape, would play again
The course has an odd layout, but is worth the cost. The tee’s and fairways are spotty. However, the greens are in great shape. The greens were a bit slow and hairy, but I’m not sure if it had rained and weren’t able to be mowed. I would play here again.
Greens nice, rest still coming in a bit
Greens are as good as I've seen them, and faster yesterday than a week ago. Some bunkers are still damp. Rough not really grown in yet. Fairways a little bare in places but mostly fine.
Not that great
I had played Magnolia about 15 years ago and have to say the course was very run down. While the greens were actually beautiful, they are the slowest I have played on recently. They did hold the ball well on approach shots. The fairways, bunkers and tees were a mess… you’re gonna want to roll your balls through the fairway. The carts are gas and are in decent shape, but the cart paths are terrible…keep your head covers on. They had a starter and a Marshall, but the Marshall did nothing to speed up play. I was paired with 3 beginners and groups were stacking up behind us and no one in front of us. He made his rounds on two occasion and never said anything about seeding up. It was still fun, but they need some management and maintenance to compete with the rest.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review of your experience at MP. We appreciate any and all feedback and take that feedback seriously. The speed of our greens do fluctuate from time to time as we are trying to keep the overseed healthy through hotter days and Saturday was the hottest of the year. Our Rangers are trained to keep pace of play at 4:30 for a round and Sunday was not exception. We hope that you will give us another chance in the future to earn more stars!
Could be a beautiful course with some course improvements.

Greens and tee boxes in awesome shape.
This course and a the staff are great. While some fairways are not perfect they do a great job of caring for the greens and tee boxes. If you stay in the fairway, unlike me, it’s a great course. The staff is friendly and food at the clubhouse is perfect for after a round. I really enjoy playing at this course.
