White Eagle Golf Club
About
Nestled within the North Woods, White Eagle Golf Club is surrounded by woodlands and wetlands that are home to an abundance of native wildlife. Carved from the hillsides surrounded the St. Croix River Valley, the scenic course is enveloped in a secluded tranquility that is the ideal setting for a relaxing round. The layout utilizes the features of the rolling terrain, creating a test that is challenging but fair. Mature trees frame the course as it winds across the landscape's natural slopes and elevations. Golfers should expect a few tricky uneven lies as well as some hard-to-read greens. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides as well as a few water hazards. Water most memorably comes into play on the finishing hole, where a waterfall provides the perfect aiming point.

Enjoyable.
Nice layout. Greens were punched probably 2 weeks ago so they were a little rough. Course condition overall was very good.
fun to play not to diffucult
Staff was awesome course in great shape for dry conditions great value
Great shape
I payed as a single on Sunday morning and flew around the course. A few groups let me play through and were friendly. The course was in great shape. A few tee shots are tough to gauge the distance but the GPS helps.
Beautiful scenery & elevation changes.
A ball strikers course. Many elevation changes make for an interesting day. 6200yds. or 6700yds stretching to over 7100 from backs. 6700 is good for a 250+ tee ball with respect to dogleg holes. Good greens.
Excellent course - tough for high handicappers
Great service and friendly staff. Beautiful scenery and well maintained. Course is well maintained and tough on high handicappers. Many elevations and finding flat lies would be the exception!!
Great experience and great course.
Long drive but love this course, very challenging and fun.
This course has it all
Booked an early tee time and were the only one's there. Course was immaculate with nice tee boxes, tight fairways and the greens rolled very true. Course can be as challenging as you want based on tee selection and is great for novice through expert players. Have played this course for many years and have yet to be disappointed. Range is closed Monday mornings so we couldn't enjoy the included range balls. You'll be pleased with this course. It's buried in the woods and offers tons of hole types from "let em rip tee shots" to "target golf" tee shots. It's got it all
Target golf but beautiful setting
The course is really in a beautiful setting but it was difficult to play because of the layout. Many of the holes from the reds were short but I could not hit driver due to the trouble just off the many doglegs. I am not a big fan of elevated greens either and there were many with large elevations. We played the course at a great rate making it worth while, but I would not pay full price. I also would need to keep the driver in the bag from the tee, which is not ideal or fun for me.
Pace of Play
Unfortunately there was no Ranger. If there had been one he could of instructed the "arrogant" 5-some that they should let people play through. The Fab Five assumed they are special and did not have to abide by standard golf practices. Waited on 15 of the 18 holes, just unacceptable for a Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully the course did not sanction a group of 5 and that these "golfers" joined up after the first hole. To make matters worse they spent a lot of time studying their putts, while the rest of us had the pleasure of watching. Our group of was on the tee box, and the group in front of us was in the middle of the fairway as they went through their putting ritual. Bottom line it is a beautiful course and great layout, which is exactly what I would like to do the snobs in the 5-some.
"Local" course with up north feel - GPS works great!
This course is in excellent condition, well laid out and offers a good variety of hole structure.
Beautiful course with some challenging holes.
Great condition. Bring your A game. Cart is required for this course - long rides between some holes.
This course has a little bit of everything, hilly, trees, flat and water.
This course has some challenging holes but also has holes that give you a break, very quiet and beautiful
Great Course, Pace Of Play Questionable
Couse was fun and challenging. However, it was backed up and took 5+ hours to play. Could have used a marshall to deal with slow play of groups of heavy drinkers in front of us.
This course has everything
Great course and frindly easy going staff. You can play it long or shorter, great fairways, excellent greens, gps and ball washer on carts, carts allowed on most holes. The course is surrounded by woods and nature. We saw a doe and and two fawns running around. Easy to get to from MN.
A Hidden Beauty:
This georgous course is masterfully tucked back into the hills of western Wisconsin. What I really appreciate about it is that you are not shooting blindly over hilltops and around blind corners. You don't get punished for a good shot, you don't lose balls when it should be in the fairway. There are several tee boxes to a lower fairway and green, which just show the beauty of the course. But it is challenging, 6200+ yards for the white tees is all I can handle and 6700+ for the blue tees!!.
Beautiful course!
I really like White Eagle Golf Club and we try to play this one at least a couple times a year also. Course if very challenging for every club in your bag! Straight shots come in handy on many holes. Beautiful course though and well worth the drive!
A must Play
Greens were a bit slower than usual, but all in all, a nice track.
Great views
Good views but I found it an odd course. There are alot of doglegs and the par 3s they must have looked for the biggest drop off on property to put them. GPS was acting up and not working. I think there are better options in the area
Makes you feel like you might be up North
A very challenging course with many holes elevated. Many holes are tree lined so if you don't hit em straight, bring lots of golf balls. The course is in very good condition including the tee boxes and the greens.
Awsome course
We will be going back as much as we can. Great views! Nice staff
