The course at Corte Bella Golf Club was done in a desert style but avoids the target greens and forced carries that are at some desert courses in the area. It has a classic layout on a beautiful terrain of ficus, Italian cypress, and oleander, creating a scenic ambiance. The designer, Greg Nash, kept traditions of classical golf architecture in mind and made a course that champions the strategic player. Both the immaculately manicured greens and the wide fairways are well protected by bunkers on this course, making accuracy on the approach shot a priority. Water hazards come into play on three holes at Corte Bella Golf Club.

It’s ok

Slow pace today at 8am. Course is getting ready for overseed so the condition was dry. Rough was too long for some in the group. Bunkers are getting redone and are in really bad shape. Charged near full price for an ok course.

The course was getting ready for reseeding and they were working on a few traps, which do not interfere with the round at all. This course is a 5 normally, after the maintenence being done now.
Absolutely the best staff I have encountered in this region.

Great shape! You’ll have fun!

Staff was friendly and the course was beautiful. Go, you’ll have fun. 4-some in front was a bit slow, but it’s semi-private so you’re gonna run into some members who play comfortably. If I’m being super picky, greens were a touch on the fluffy side, but just meant you could be that much more aggressive with some putts.

Fun Course

This is a very challenging but fun course. The greens were good, the fairways were decent, the bunkers had no sand and the fringe was not in great shape. I think they were working on re-sanding the bunkers though.

Improved Bunkers

I've always liked the course and the staff at this course. The course was in good shape, only a few bald spots on a couple of fairways.
The bunkers were much improved, they were marked as under repair so you could pull out the ball but I played from several of them green side and they were sanded and nice.
Not having a cart person on a hot day with water stations being limited was not good.

Great Condition

The fairways and greens are in great condition (especially for summer). My only criticism of the course is the bunkers. Many of the bunkers are a little light on sand..

Terrible greens, slow and not smooth

I play here a couple times a year but this was bad. Greens were not smooth, very very slow. Sand traps are being redone so it’s dirt and mud… lots of burnt out fairway

They did have nice ice towels and the starter person, cart guy and clubhouse were great!

Not a Karen

It might sound like I am complaining but I am not. I understand that golf courses in the valley of the sun get a lot of intrusive maintenance during the summer months and that no matter how much you water, things can get sparse or brown. The course (fairways) had been recently aeriated and the greens had been punched / sanded within the past couple of weeks or so and it showed big time. I am not sure when the greens were punched, but they were slow and very bumpy which made for an exhausting day of putting. From my perspective the difficulty on this course is all the fairway bunkers, they are everywhere and it seems most are reachable which wouldn't be so bad if the were all in good shape. I think the price was a little high for the conditions, but it was still a fun track and yes I would play again. I wish GolfNow and these courses could get together and let us know when the course is in substandard condition. Some courses in the valley put their maintenance schedule on their websites which helps when deciding how much I am willing to pay.

Nice layout

The course is in pretty good shape. The greens were cut very short so they were very fast. The sand traps were in the process of being redone so a lot of them were hard pan.

Pleasant surprise

10 day golf trip. One of the nicer, friendlier, not snotty, courses we played. Very nice shape. Well manicured. Would definitely do it again.

Nice track

In town for 10 days. Have played a few courses since being here. This one we would Definitely would play it again. Playing the tips makes it interesting especially w the wind. Holy trap city. Yes some of the bunkers could use sand, which is being addressed. Other than that, a very nice track. Great service. Not a snotty place.
