Great course, great time!!
First time playing here, seen my son play before and love it. Saw a tee time and booked it inmediately, although it was kinda cold and windy. The course was absolutely in great shape, staff was helpful and try accomadate us as much possible! Will play again soon.
Odd Layout
Course has 3 9 hole layouts. Which are fairly flat. Although I wouldn’t recommend walking it as several holes are far apart. Especially on Anza. Course has some interesting holes. But think it could be laid out better.. seen to crisscross the course more than should be expected. Then maybe I may not have played the better 18 hole combination.
Tubac golf experience
Overall the experience was ok but not great.
For the amount they charge they don't have the best of everything in the area.
Greens are not in very good shape.
Fairways are excellent, teeblocks are excellent, cart paths are excellent, practise facility's excellent
Par 3's are a lot of fun especially going over water
Golf carts are very average & no were to clean balls or clubs which I thought was very weird for a couse like this
For 1st time there; all 4 of us thought we were let down by the golf carts & greens & no ball washers; there is better in Green Valley for a lot less
Only one on the course
I played in February on a 45º day with sun, rain, hail and wind. Though hail covered the green at one time, by the time I arrived at the next green, it was clear. The course remained completely playable and, amazingly, I enjoyed the afternoon breaking bogey.
Do Not Waste Your Time and Money
Very underwhelming; no better than the Tucson Muni courses at twice the price. Golf etiquette is non existent her: members drive thru your shots and the Golf pro is has no concept regarding on course etiquette. Went to pro shop to voice displeasure with pro's behavior and received exactly what I expected; nobody cared, my story was challenged by the attendant. The members can have this course.
Awesome Layout
This course is fun to play. Accuracy is the key to scoring.
The range and puttting green are great for warming up.
Staff was very friendly and food is very good. Will play again.
Tubac is a gem
The Rancho course is really beautiful, quite different from the other two courses. I love the big, gnarly trees.
Tim Cup
Enjoyed the course. But feel the daily rate is way to high for this course!
Golf at Tubac
Another resort course with very poor signage and no ball washers The Monsoon bridge is the highest elevation on the rancho nine holes
Spectator price? Disappointed
Expecting to pay an afternoon price for one on a round of 18 and also my little girl came with me so I wouldn't be by myself. Come to find to out there is a spectator fee of $25. I don't know, maybe this is normal at higher end courses but none the less I'm going take my daughters to a few courses a little further north where there isn't a spectator fee.
Average track
In fairness, January is probly the dormant growing season so conditions were not great. Fairways were thin with lots of scratchy lies. Greens were good but not great. Bunkers were good with enough good sand in them, but had not been raked by the staff on this day. The design/layout is fairly generic, no spectacular holes. Two 200+ yard par 3’s present stiff challenges, but overall course design is average. Shop and support staff are professional and friendly.
