the ninth hole, 13 hole a real gem.
New FOREST
it's a little Beauty , had english tourists and could not believe the course that was just hidden away in a lovely part of Westmeath. Will be back again.
Some of the presumed better courses are not as nice as this one.

The course is eye-opening all the way around!!
This course is a hidden gem set up for all standards of golfer with great tee box positions. The opportunities are there and the penalties also. Every hole is a signature one and the only disservice the course does for itself, is that it is not shouting loudly enough about itself !! An exceptional facility.

Country pile with a challenging course
I really enjoyed the course and found it quite challenging. The fairways were generally wide and quite forgiving with the exception of a few holes. The walled garden hole was a memorable Par 3 on the course. The parkland is very mature and gives the feel of a course that has been there for a long time. The greens were also well maintained. The only disappointment was the lack of a food menu in the clubhouse, although a trip to the castle in Tyrrellspass turned out to be a great alternative.
Fantastic value for money.
I played New Forest two weeks ago with my 14 year old son and a friend of mine. I chose this course because of the cost as I was paying for my son as well as myself. We teed off at 8.50 on a crisp september Saturday morning. We thought the course was brilliant value for money, as we are members of Tullamore golf club and could make the comparism. The only minor issue was that the bunker sand was extremely wet, but this was understandable as the weather had been bad earlier in the week. Some of the holes were gorgeous. There is a par 3 built within a walled enclosure. I would recommend that you have a half-decent golf game in order to really enjoy the challenge.
