Playable
Course has two great layouts but due to lack of maintenance dogs and the sandhill crane’s are tearing up the fairways and greens
Could be interesting, maybe its better during the winter
My playing companion has played the course before and says it was in better shape (large dead areas on greens, some tee boxes are just dirt, fairways are not well kept). The course is mostly tree lined and tight with some trees at corners or otherwise requiring careful shot placement. Very little water in play. This could be a fun course, but, even at this price, in its current condition, I wouldn't make the 30 minute drive.
DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!!
Stay away from this course!!!! This is by far the worst course in central FL. The fairway was farmland. The greens was patchy. Stay AWAY!!!! Much better option available.
East course
Well being dry season not to bad. Green are 50/50. Fairways pretty good
Tough
Typical fairways and greens course layout is fun. The Outabounds is tight to the fairway and in some spots impossible to retrieve sliced or hooked balls. Tough course for a beginner. The best part is the challenging layout And diversity of holes.
Play the South
No grass in the fairways mostly weed's very hard greens really patchy they are most likely putting most of their money into the South course stick with it!!!!
Acceptable Value
This course is a very good design by a world class architect and was a premium course back in the 1970’s. But course conditions continue to be much less than stellar. The greens have a lot of bad spots, and the tees and fairways are average. Some good deals can be found and my view is good golf shots are good golf shots, so I consider this course as good value for the money if you can overlook the conditions.
Great layout
Such a shame that the owners do not value the course. Great layout and quality shot making opportunities. Conditions do not match the quality of layout but not a bad value for $30.00 with cart
Ok for the money
First time on the course. As all courses around here this year needs water. Hard to find grass in the fairways and the early greens 1 thru 6 needed grass and a lot of work. The greens improved after that. Slow greens. A few sand traps with a lot of weeds in the sand. Nice carts, good layout, with excellent staff, with the money I paid. I would play again
East Course
I played the East Course, was told South was for Members Only.
Last Played it in 1995
Rolling Good
Played here a couple of weeks ago and the greens have been greatly improved. Still not really smooth, but better.
Extremely Poor Course Condition
The condition of the course is sad. This is one of the best layouts in Central Florida and the level of deterioration this course has seen is ridiculous. The fairways are in bad shape and the greens are even worse. Lots of dirt patches, the greens hadn’t been mown in days, they’re bumpy. Honestly I can’t say anything positive. I had last played in January and, at that time, the course experienced some neglect but it was playable for sure. This course isn’t playable. Don’t book here no matter how good the deal is…$10 is overpriced for this goat ranch.
