They are in the process of over seeding, but is in great condition. Greens very quick.
Too many blind shots...........without much help.
No GPS on carts. No course map on scorecard.
Love a challenge but a little help might help.
Pace of play unacceptable
Course condition, value, and staff were excellent. The course was not overly busy , just 2 slow groups ahead. Pace of play was extremely slow. All that was needed was a course Marshall to speed up the slow groups , but there was no Marshall on the course
Was in town on business but decided to play this course as we had the afternoon off. This is truly and amazing and challenging course. Rental clubs were also very nice. Recommend this course to anyone!
Paying $43 to play this course felt like highway robbery. I routinely play park style courses back home that charge more yet offer 1/5 of the experience. The vistas on the holes are simply incredible (see attached) and the course was in almost perfect condition. 10/10 would recommend.
Wind was up to 20mph..this course is beautiful and challenging..fun day..will be back soon
Starr Pass Golf
The entire golf team greeted me with outstanding service. They made me feel like I was at my home course.
My front 9 was ‘Roadrunner’ and the back was ’Cayote’. Roadrunner, I would categorize as “target golf”. Because it was my first time playing the course, I had no idea where I was going and some of the holes, you could barely see the landing areas. The 1st hole was a nice Par 3 ... but I could see the landing area. After that, a few of the holes, I had to drive to plan my shots. Seeing the target areas was difficult and there were no pictures or layout diagrams. With no course knowledge and no one with who could help, I experienced a bit of frustration. The 2nd 9 ... Cayote, was awesome. They had recently over seeded the course so it was Cart Path Only ... and a couple of the fairways were being worked on.
I would definitely recommend the course and I will definitely play it again.
Challenging but fun course
Starr pass was challenging but fun. Tee boxes were in great shape. Most fairways were narrow with OBs left and right. There were some bare spots on the fairways, but this was the exception. Greens were in great shape, held your shots, but a little slow. You had to carefully read the greens and many were challenging. Course knowledge is helpful given hazards.
Overall, enjoyed my outing and would enjoy playing Star Pass again!
Very difficult if you don’t know the course layout... many holes require big distance over canyons.. next time I’ll download GPS app..
Nice course...great starters...very friendly and informative. Mac and Eddie are two of the best. We played two days in a row and the courses were in decent shape considering they are starting to prep for overseeding next week. Greens were soft and in good shape but needed to be rolled.
Beautiful, challenging and yet rewarding for everyone in my group- handicaps 9 to 25. The greens were perfect and held the approach shots. The summer rates make it very affordable!
